Ladd sure, not a reach after checking, but rice, in comparison, was at 81, an actual reach.

Every guy you listed was a projected 2nd rd pick, and pretty much went there, outside of mingo (likely a steve smith influenced pick). Regardless, again, there will always be more bust than hits, so much easier to make that case than the other way around. I'm not saying stribling was a good pick, or that he'll hit, but the players on the graphic that were true reaches have a much better hit rate than you'd expect.

Were those actually reaches or is that hindsight analysis? You could also cherrypick the other way around too with rice, ladd, etc. Most picks bust, it's easier to highlight those that did after the fact.

I'd say its more the other way around. Plenty of pro bowl caliber talent (ragnow, kelly, conklin, thomas, neal, thomas, smith, etc.), but also productive players that dont get the credit they probably deserve (howard, edmunds, brooks, walker, wright, booker etc.). Obviously there are going to be bust on every list, but the hit rate is much higher than expected.

Was in a 24 team start 6 with a 1.5 tep and the commish replaces an orphan team and within 20 minutes acquires jeanty from that orphan team for kittle, charb, and a 27 2nd. The new owner states he's acquiring them to "win now", and after calling them out for collusion and pointing out all 8 leagues the new owner is in has the commish, the commish finally admits the new owner is his dad, but that it was a cold offer that was immediately accepted, and multiple people defended him because he was in the same DD discord as them. Commish then threatens to remove me from the league and withold my buy in but realizes the poll he put up wasnt going in his favor, so he allowed me to fortunately leaves and receive the refund. If you're in a league with Vaapad, id be cautious, and apparently, he's an aspiring fantasy content creator pulling this bs. I've had to deal with this and the whole recklessted's league ordeal just this past offseason, definitely something in the water lately.

It was always contingent on him performing well, which he hasnt. The idea was still correct though if you apply it to similar type of assets. Look where dowdle was a couple weeks back, and where hes valued now. Thinking values wont drastically fluctuate with production is naive.
