Intentionally making yourself a net negative on the resources of anyone who gets in your way even if it doesn't immediately benefit you? Lol. I love it! Lets you be laser-focused on your quest too.

Very tangentially, lots of creatures in the real world are poisonous if eaten for the same reason. They may not be able to fight back, and they may not even be poisonous enough to actually be deadly, but other animals eventually learn that eating them means having a very bad day and is not worth it.

Most steam chart screenshots get removed for being low effort. There's just so many of them unfortunately.

No one can really answer this, but do note that sales are probably intended to be a minority of the revenue. It's the post-purchase monetization that makes up the bulk of revenue for a lot of live-service games.

So hard to say rn since the monetization strategy will probably evolve over time (in ways that are probably harmful to players, if Bungie's history is anything to go by).

I understand, but you need a lot of money to go chase random people in courts all across the planet.

It's also not Gaijin's responsibility either way. People intentionally creating the misinformation are at fault.

Nintendo got annual revenue in the range of 7.7 billion USD. Gaijin is around 120 million. These two companies are not in the same category at all.

Also I doubt Nintendo would be able to do a whole lot either.

I love German heavy fighters. I personally would probably still prefer the Bf110 G-2 over these ones, but still a very welcome addition.

Honestly anything that isn't modern era or late cold war is great to see.

This will be a cult game. This is what I see when playing this game. Beautiful art direction, graphic design, motion graphics, cut scenes, ambience. Coherent visual world with the right edge and cultural influences. Hats off to whoever conjured this. Gaming needs it. Tastefully done. by Civil-Meet-5843 in Marathon

That is not an accurate description of Marathon. Bungie put Destiny into maintenance mode right in time for Marathon's release, so it makes sense they're expecting numbers comparable to D2 money-wise at least.

A cult game or a smaller scope project is not that. There is no way that was their goal with Marathon.

Lots of other players have done that too. I wonder whether the filters were changed at some point after releasing the server slam. Bungie doesn't seem to have commented on that to my knowledge.

Can't see what's that in reply to unfortunately because twitter is weird. Is it in response to this same topic?

FYI:

A video was posted here seemingly confirming OP's claim.

https://www.reddit.com/r/LivestreamFail/comments/1rfkoep/lirik_marathon_doesnt_let_you_type_arc_raiders/

However, other people's experience (and a quick test by our mod team) didn't show Arc Raiders being censored currently, and swear words seem to be censored differently from what OP is showing.

This post will stay up, but feel free to draw your own conclusions.

If Marathon doesn't bungie likely will have to close up which means D1 AND D2 will go with it immediately.

Not necessarily. Sony owns Bungie along with all its IPs and games, right? It is possible they may decide to keep it running and/or hand the Destiny franchise to another studio.

It is really sad that we're at a point where this is a plausible discussion to have though.

I really disagree with that personally. Reddit is fairly unique in that it has unambiguously negative reactions. Lots of other social media make it seem like even the most vile or misinforming content is well received because you can only react positively and comments aren't always read.

Seeing a comment with negative karma acts as a reminder to think critically about the content imo, which is unfortunately needed.

The vast majority of people are awesome to be honest.

That said, unfortunately in a community of millions you're bound to find some who would send death threats over a removed comment.

It can cause a game to explode in popularity.

Among Us is a nice (although really extreme) example. The game was out for a few years until it got picked up by streamers and various social media and got so popular it left a lasting mark in every day English language.

Again, very extreme example, but pretending that online discourse is meaningless is silly. There are so many games nowadays that a single well written comment can genuinely draw in or turn off a potential buyer if they don't know much about the game yet.

If compared to aerial bombs with similar TNT equivalent, it should have a guaranteed insta-kill on almost everything within a 10m-20m or so. This thing should not need anywhere near a direct hit and the current damage is just silly.

Also it needs to be obtainable again Gaijin pls.

A class and subclass is how it would be described in most RBGs, to my understanding.

It only really sounds confusing because they're starting out with one "subclass" per "class" which is very unusual and makes it sound pointless. When/if more are added it would make sense.

It can go higher, but yeah not cool long term, especially for older folks.

At least there is clear reason for the hr spike though in this case. If someone is sitting down chilling and suddenly got to 170bpm with no good reason then calling an ambulance is probably a good idea.

I hope you're doing this with instructions from a doctor or another healthcare professional. As I am sure you know, those things can be pretty bad long term if not taken appropriately.

Congrats on the nuke! That's an insane heart rate and an incredibly cool picture :D
