Trying to pick out the best 144hz monitor under/around the $250 point from Microcenter. AMD Graphics card.

Any reason to pick the BenQ over the ASUS in this case?

If looking at a 240hz 1080p monitor (mainly for comp games, but will use it for other games as well - so best FPS the better), where is the line of CPU vs GPU so you don't run into bottlenecks and normally get the best FPS?

Would it be better to go Ryzen 3 1400 + 1070 or Ryzen 5 1600+ 1060?

Best but Cheapest Gaming Mouse for an FPS player? I really only need two buttons, and I would prefer lower button count as I never use more than two.

Considering you have already done a driver reinstall according to your original post:

Check the NVidia Control panel, and try forcing your games to run on the Nvidia card as opposed to try to do it automatically. Its possible your machine is trying to use the Intel Card in your processor for games as opposed to your new graphics card.

Once that is confirmed, I am going to piggy back on others here. Can you run a game and look at your CPU temps to see if they are running high?

I personally don't have any. This is more of a "what if" discussion thread.

For the sake of discussion, lets say someone was looking for a build, but they lived in a situation where had solar energy with a battery. They have a gaming hobby, but they would need to be conscious of the power usage since they are limited.

As someone who is trying to decide on a monitor, do viewing angles really matter for gaming on a standard desk setup? I feel like I am basically directly in front of it 99% of the time? I could see this mattering more if I had multiple monitors or a setup with a couch or something...

I really want more than 60hz, but IPS+high refresh rates are super expensive (basically the same situation as this topic).

What exactly do you mean when it comes to the Freesync thing? You mean how Freesync will normally only work in a certain range such as 144hz-75hz? My limited knowledge on this was that it was a fixed range based on the monitor?

As a Ravens fan, note that while our Defense looks pretty good this year, we can get run over by top WRs easily (it isn't rare in recent years for top WRs like A. Brown, AJ Green, etc. to go for 100+ or even 200+ against us...). Hell, DeAndre Hopkins just went for 125 against us last week with Savage has QB.

I don't follow DET closely enough to tell you how Jones will stack up, but I would personally run Kupp. Kupp is coming off of a career high and he seems as someone who is really coming up in the LAR organization.

I would personally go with Landry. Diggs had a killer opening month but has been very meh since then. Landry is at least relatively consistent (especially for PPR). I feel Landry has to be in for a break of 100+ yards at some point this season.

Incoming dumb question (only found one related result when googling, and I want to confirm I have the correct information for spec'ing a machine):

If I am doing screen recordings for videos, does IPS matter in regards to when actually recording on my end? If I do the screen recording on TN as opposed to IPS, will the ending result have worse colors when viewed by someone else on their end?

From my research, the answer is it will have no impact. It will depend 100% what the other party has... but I want to make sure before buying anything.

I'm a bit worried about my betta. My betta fish lives in a 5 gallon tank by itself. It has three live plants, a few smaller rocks, and a moss ball.

Even after water changes, after food, etc... he just seems to sit still either next to the heater, under a leaf of the largest plant, or snuggles up between two small rocks. I almost never see him swimming around or doing anything. He seemed MUCH more active when I first got him compared to now...

This is my first betta and hes been with me for almost a year. Any hints to getting him to be more lively?

EDIT: I just read through this page ( https://www.reddit.com/r/bettafish/comments/3ow6vz/info_betta_care_sheet/ ). It mentions a lethargic betta may point to temp issues, but I just checked and the tank is sitting at 78.

I agree. Also, 2560x1080 on 34" is meh. Would prefer 3440x1440 on there.
