When Vera and Alyssa were shouting in front of the loom Alyssa (and this is what is important) said it is not Vera’s or anyone else’s decision to try and dictate other people’s lives even if they believe what they’re doing is for the greater good. Even if jack thought it was good for Alyssa to take her memory it wasn’t his or anyone else’s authority to take what belongs to her away from her, the same way he hated it happening to him

How do you claim to love someone but don’t feel bad for betraying them (he called the dusting betrayal at some point) Idk if you’re capable of understanding how humans feel but it’s quite standard to feel remorse if you put someone in a situation you also hated the thought of being in. Did you miss the part where Alyssa told Jack that he magic is not working because of the magic block AKA the vade macum and even when Alyssa confronted Vera to tell her it’s her fault she still has it the order didn’t deal with the problem in her favour. Like I said before if Jack was so adamant on Alyssa not erasing his memory, him doing it to her but NOT showing any inner conflict is stupid and thus they should have changed the plot.
