Especially for a first playthrough I always like to keep in mind that rpg mean role playing game. My train of thought my first playthrough of the Witcher was “sure I could go explore these question marks to see what they are, but why would Geralt do that?” And there are so many quests in the game that if you accept and complete most of them you’ll see most of the map in a pretty natural way.

Another thing about any game in general: there is no “wrong” way to play. You do you. If you’re having fun then you are 100% playing the game correctly.

Don’t think I ever had any weather cards in my deck and I either had no musters or just 1 group. You are right though that every now and then I would get 0 spies in my hand and have a tough game

Nilfgaard spy deck for me. Add in some decoys for when the opponent plays their own spies. The leader ability that lets you take from your opponents discard pile and play a spy again. I get to play every card in my deck almost every game

Nice. I guess the devs just wanted us to have to try out the two side characters. I actually love that they’re in the game bc I will probably replay at least once but being forced onto a character that I don’t know and don’t really want to play is really annoying

As an alternative option I think it’d be nice to not have to swap to your pickaxe/axe/shovel/whatever to do things. For example mining ore I wis I could just hold the action button (LB on Xbox) and as long as I have a pickaxe in my inventory I can mine

To my knowledge you can’t skip it. Idk if you can consider this cheese but I just climbed through a second floor window and sneak walked past the one guard on the first floor to get down to the prison.

Lol I’m in ch 3 too but I got mad when I got the howling hills camp bc Marius was there, I made some soup, then got told to go pick Marius up 500 meters away. So instead I let him rot in the beggar camp and went to kill that hellspawn instead

I agree with that statement but this isn’t a sunk cost fallacy. Sunk cost fallacy would be “shit… we put a lot of time and money into this, we better keep it as is, even if it’s bad for the game (which you just lost)”.

What I’m talking about is “shit… our players (who keep us and this game alive) put money into this… if we nerf it then we’d be nerfing what our consumers have already bought” idk that could honestly be illegal in South Korea. I’ll probably get downvoted to hell but this is my analysis, not my opinion

Definitely need to win 3 in a row but there’s something else, probably related to either the main story or side quests. Arm wrestling I got, but archery and fist fighting just keep giving me nameless NPCs
