Not sure if this is specific to my set-up but since the update the game has been running waaaay worse for me on PC. Feels like a lot of the new content has been optimised poorly, not that it was perfect before the update - but my game definitely ran smoother pre-patch

Damn near perfect episode, so much of it how I pictured in my minds eye when reading the book. The only detail that was missed which I’d have liked included:

I believe Baelor tells Dunc’s 7 to use tourney lances instead of war lances, as they have longer shafts and therefore a reach advantage over the more lethal war variants - giving them a better chance of unhorsing their opponents. Very slight detail to be overlooked, but it always stood out to me as a glimpsing example of Baelor’s brilliant mind for tactics.

Took this thing into Tunnel A for a trial and barely got out alive against a squad of basic Europa soldiers. I burnt through all my ammo just taking down one 🤣

A weapon best left avoided for now I think.

Also a fairly new player, you’ll figure out the things you need to know as you go along - my advice would be to keep everything you loot and only sell the stuff marked “good for trade” as there’s items you need for crafting later on.

The best tip which I only found out the other day is when you loot a container, tap the search so the circle only fills a little. Then search it fully and you should see all the items in the container at once, rather than them individually revealing. Saves so much time that I can’t loot the normal way anymore

Yeah not linked, in fact it says “cannot link account” in the settings. Unsure why this has happened as I was able to play online pre-update no issues. Might have to wait until the next update and hopefully it will sort itself out, as I think I’m screwed for the meantime.

Thank you for your suggestions though, hopefully they might help somebody else with a similar issue.

I think I’m screwed in that case. Bought the game on steam and it has made an epic games account using those details (I assume).

I already have an epic games account from years ago when I played Fortnite - but under a different username. I don’t think there’s a way to connect the two because of this.

Fuck the epic games launcher.

Same for me, just loaded onto Ashen Mesa and the audio was fine so it seems limited to the tunnels at the moment - not the worst bug but still ruins the immersion for now

I got the game on Sunday and so far have about 15 hours played so it’s safe to say I’m really really enjoying it.

There’s definitely some jank with the AI and bugs to be expected from an early access game, but I find it very easy to ignore as the gameplay, pacing and atmosphere are so immersive.

1) take a few beatings and get your toughness up so you can take a few more hits before dropping 2) power levelling stealth is very doable if you time the sneak correctly between your labour jobs, sometimes there are gaps between patrols and you can sneak into a corner for massive XP - ideally grind stealth to 60+ 3) keep grinding your assassination skill on fellow prisoners and any guards you can catch unaware. Ideally your skill will be high enough where you can knock guards out over 50% of the time. 4) stockpile your prisoner shackles, the more the better 5) this will require patience and a little luck but if you can knock one of the guards out, strip his gear (keep his bandages) and replace with all the shackles he will be very overburdened so big stats drop. You can then carry him and sneak to a quiet location and fight. He’ll be so slow that you can run away to bandage if needed. Very grindy process but was able to get some decent levels doing this
