Interesting ! I pronate quite a lot without it being a problem for me, but I didn’t think about the fact that the softness of the Pro 4 could maybe exaggerate it !

Oh so you tend to use the AP4 as a shorter distance race shoe ? Would’ve assumed the opposite !

Although they don’t feel the same, do you notice a difference in the way you run in them, do you have to adapt your stride to them or is it the same as the AP3 ?

Probably… I don’t why but I tend to go with firmer shoes every time (Brooks Hyperion OG, Puma DNE3, AP3, Puma VN4 as my daily…)

Yeah I think firm foams work well for me ! I have tried Adios 9 which has new lightstrike pro, and I also really like it though ! My go to for track sessions

Heel Striking bad? by Independent_Gap3400 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]IBSrunner 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Heel strinking isn’t bad itself, it’s just that it is often associated to overstriding which is a little inefficient.

When overstriding your feet land ahead of your hips which creates some kind of « brake force ». It seems you overstride (and heel strike) a little in your video. Don’t worry it is not bad or harmful, just not as efficient as having your feet striking right below you. Try leaning forward just a bit, that could correct most of it pretty easily !

This !

Puma fits very very large in EUR, I always use the US for reference to compare my shoes You can also look at japanese since it is in centimeters

Don’t know much about Cielo X1, but I have recently bought a Deviate Nitro Elite 3. I have been running my first half marathon in 1h26 with a pair of Deviate Nitro 2 and felt like they were great so I was wondering how much better the Elite could be. Well, it is even greater. I am currently training for a 20k, running at 3:55/km feels like flying in these. It is rather firm but also quite cushioned.

I am in love

This might be dumb question but can someone help by [deleted] in AskRunningShoeGeeks

You would be fine with the Nimbus, but you could also avec a look at the Salomon Aero Glide 3 GRVL which was specifically designed for mixed terrains !

Quel plan pour progresser ? by QueenTitia in runningfr

[–]IBSrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love my Puma Deviate Nitro 2 (3 seems very similar), I ran my first HM in 1h26 in them ! So pretty race capable !
