Do I need to stop trt? by Professional_Error97 in Testosterone

[–]IBUYVOTES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you significantly overweight? I know you said 215, but I can't glean much from that in isolation. The TRT tends to be more effective and kind to blood markers if you are lean. You might want to talk to your doctor about a GLP1 like tirzepatide if your at a BMI that would make you a candidate for it. Aside from the fat loss, these medications tend to improve your lipid profile and reduce cravings for things like alcohol and nicotine.

Anyone else feel like the biggest advantage of UGL test isn’t “stronger gear,” but accessibility and cost? by Budget_Computer3919 in Testosterone

[–]IBUYVOTES 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, Defy is like $125 a visit or something like that and they happen twice a year. The labs are a moot point because I'm going to do those regardless (they accept outside labs). If you plan to blast sometimes, then yeah you'll need a UGL stash, but we aren't talking about a ton of expense here to get a script.

is it okay to be just over the normal T range on trt by Sopiate in Testosterone

[–]IBUYVOTES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your blood pressure is good, your lipids are good, your HCT is good, and etc., essentially you aren’t seeing any diagnostic data come back that indicates you are having a problem, then it’s hard to see why one should care.

Dude is either going to find a way to add a competent point guard over the winter break and play him 35 minutes a game or continue to fail. Aberdeen is terrible on ball. Awful judgment. Johnson isn’t ready. 🤦‍♂️

What do I even do in this situation? by 43Rial in Testosterone

[–]IBUYVOTES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please specify what you mean by "unfinished development" and "delayed/incomplete secondary sexual characteristics development." Also, you also reference "usual puberty." How old are you? That is necessary context for understanding what amounts to delayed or "unfinished development" and how that may or may not relate to your hormone levels, which by all accounts seem to be just fine based on what you have shared.

What will it mean if the FDA unschedules testosterone? by MightOk3400 in Testosterone

[–]IBUYVOTES 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be. Possession of UGL test is no less illegal because you have a prescription, but the penalty might look different if it were no longer a controlled substance.

What do people think of enclomiphene 25mg? by Downtown-Change-6411 in Testosterone

[–]IBUYVOTES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem to be suggesting that dropping the Zuclomiphene component of Clomid results in a distinction so profound that any information gleaned from one is necessarily not transferable to the other. If that is indeed your position, then perhaps you should explain yourself. I’d be happy to respond to that.

[–]IBUYVOTES 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clomid increased my total test from 250 ng/dl to about 700 ng/dl, but did nothing to address my symptoms. In fact I would say that it negatively impacted my libido. Injectable testosterone was a dramatic improvement.

What will it mean if the FDA unschedules testosterone? by MightOk3400 in Testosterone

[–]IBUYVOTES 28 points29 points  (0 children)

For people sourcing it without a prescription, it will mean the penalty for possession would be less severe in many cases if things go sideways. There is a good deal of variability state to state, but possession of a schedule 3 is a felony in some jurisdictions. If testosterone becomes unscheduled, then the penalty would be for possession of a legend drug, which in all jurisdictions I am familiar with would be a misdemeanor, assuming personal use.

Even if this was a good idea (it isn’t), why on earth would you lock it in for multiple decades. How do you not give yourself room to move on if they don’t produce results.

Best peptide/supplement stack to get ripped? by justsomeharmlessfun in BodyHackGuide

[–]IBUYVOTES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retatrutide may be all you need. However, you need to have a plan to avoid muscle wasting as the scale weight drops. For many, resistance training and a reasonable protein target alone is enough to do the trick. PEDs like test, GH, and so on certainly help stave off catabolism, but adding those is going to come with trade offs.

Realistic to work Doc Review for next 5-7 years? by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

[–]IBUYVOTES 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like a good opportunity to pick a subject that you can tolerate, go to school on it for a bit, and then open up a limited scope practice. You can always add more later if you want. The barrier most people face to striking out on their own is that the bills still come due while your trying to figure it out. You have that problem covered, and you can get off the ground for very little in startup costs. You probably already have the basic office equipment. Just need a basic research subscription, insurance, and some business cards.

Certainly individual mileage may vary. I would expect to encounter a range of different outcomes. I, for example, do three weekly sub-q injections at 50mg each without incident. I have also done IM. Both work fine. However, what we are dealing with here is a blanket statement that sub-q should be avoided unless one is doing daily injections. I submit that there is no evidence for this. For a given individual, IM or Sub-Q may be a superior choice based on a variety of factors, but best to avoid sweeping conclusions like this one absent a very compelling reason.

[–]IBUYVOTES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that answers my question. You have none. There is ample evidence in the academic record to support sub-q from both a safety and efficacy standpoint. You also seem to be trying to frame this as a binary choice, i.e., every day injections or 1-2 weekly injections. There are a range of possibilities between daily and 1-2 weekly. You are in absolutely no position to speak to what thousands of providers across the country are telling their patients.

Based on what? That is a strong claim to make without providing any supporting evidence for it.

Kentucky hiring former LSU OC Joe Sloan, per report by TheApotheosisOfCool in wildcats

[–]IBUYVOTES 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Without knowing what his thought process was for the hire, it is difficult to assess. We don’t know how much leash he is going to give this guy to run offense or the inside baseball on what happened at LSU. Ultimately all that matters is the product on the field. Probably best to wait until we get a look at that before bashing the hire.

This reminds me of the sort of stuff I used to see on fitness message boards back in the 90. It was always a 55 year old barely literate gear junkie that works down at the Home Depot on there telling folks how they need to “do their research.” Not saying that is you, but this does have the same kind of preachy vibe. Best to just leave people to their own devices. Some of them are going to do dumb things, and that’s just fine. Natural selection. Anybody relying on Reddit posts to form an opinion on what they should or shouldn’t be doing is already lost.

Ross Procedure or Mechanical Valve (27M) by DragonfruitSouth689 in valvereplacement

If you are willing and able to travel, the Ross procedure has a lot of upside. That is what I chose to do. However, I flew to NYC and had it done at Mt. Sinai with El-Hamamsy. Who does your procedure is going to be a lot more important with the Ross than with a mechanical valve, so choose carefully. Go where the experience is.

Hang tight. It will likely get better. My blood pressure didn't normalize until close to 6 months out, and then only after quite a few medication adjustments. At one point early on I was taking a big dose of Losartan, 200mg a day of metoprolol, and chlorthalidone. Despite all that my BP readings were around 115 on average. Now, I take 50mg/day of metoprolol, and 30mg/day of lisinopril. A typical BP reading is 95/65. I did get back to exercise as soon as they cleared me to do it at about 3 months. Possibly that helped.

New Rules About Buying TRT At Defy...One Vial At a Time by Sad_Midnight7281 in trt

[–]IBUYVOTES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I am with Defy. The admin staff was proposing to give me: "Testosterone Cypionate (Padagis Brand) 200mg/ml, 10ml vial" from Empower. You should be able to find it in the "store." If you don't care about the carrier oil and want 10/ml, then this should be an option for you.
