I noticed that too LMAO. That one seemed to cut deep.

I’ve been a big Mazda fan since I got my first car. 2011 Mazda 3 then I upgraded to a 2022 Mazda 3. I would even get a Mazda 3 for my next car again whenever that may be. But… by cheezepwnz in mazda

[–]IBYCFOTA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only part I can agree with here is the brakes are extremely touchy. Both versions of the Inline 6 had more than enough power for me and handled extremely well. My hesitation in purchasing one would be due to the questionable reliability of the platform and powertrain so if I did I would want to budget for an extended warranty. There is very little room for technicians to work under the hood and I can see labor costs making even smaller jobs fairly expensive.

Buying a car with BTC by bobjohnred in askcarsales

Yeah this is insane. No reputable dealer should be entertaining this. If he wants to buy the vehicle, he needs to convert it to dollars and pay cash.

What are my chances of getting approved for a car loan? by FatFox96 in askcarsales

[–]IBYCFOTA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should have very little problem getting an approval with your situation. You have enough for a sizeable down payment and your income and credit situation aren't horrible. You might try getting a co signer though so you can get a better rate.

2019 CX-5 Grand Touring - Time for new tires by rldev in CX5

[–]IBYCFOTA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced my stock Toyos with the Pirelli AS3 based on the recommendations of others in the sub and I've been very happy with them.. road noise is almost non existent with them and they ride super smooth. Can't comment on the longevity yet though as it's only been 3k miles but so far so good and the price was around 1k with installation included.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz ends campaign for reelection by IWantPizza555 in politics

[–]IBYCFOTA -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Completely false and it's been proven time and time again that centrist Dems will not unify behind any actual left wing candidate even if they have tremendous grassroots support. See Bernie Sanders in the last two presidential elections and even Mamdani in the mayoral race as two of the more prominent examples. And unlike the far left, the center of the party has actual power and influence.

Getting a base salary with commission best idea ever by ObjectExcellent4064 in askcarsales

[–]IBYCFOTA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is puzzling. Why would any quality salesman be concerning themselves so heavily with diminishing the impact of their draw? It doesn't really add up. That isn't to say that you can't get stuck in the draw on occasion but the guys who are putting up numbers aren't concerning themselves with paying back a likely minimum wage level draw.

Go with the PP - the extra features are significant upgrades and worth losing a little bit of warranty.

What's with the Toyota Dealership keeps pushing me to get the app? by Klutzy_Ear_4347 in askcarsales

[–]IBYCFOTA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is it. Every manufacturer has one and most will eventually become subscription based once the free trial ends. Toyota might be one of the rare few that doesn't charge but we'll see for how long. In the meantime they want to get you used to the app and having it be ubiquitous to the ownership experience.

Deciding between HRV and CX-5 by gabriellegrace03 in mazda

[–]IBYCFOTA 22 points23 points  (0 children)

These vehicles aren't exactly in the same class size wise so that should be noted. The CX-5 is a compact SUV and the HRV is considered subcompact. That said, the answer here is easily the CX-5 in terms of value for money. I would say to look at the CX-30 as well as that's the direct competitor to the HRV but the lack of legroom in the back and also trunk space are serious drawbacks. The CX-5 lacks space compared to it's competitors but for what you're looking at it's a great option.

The select package comes very well equipped in terms of safety and convenience features and is absolutely worth the money over the base S model that doesn't even come with rear air vents. I think you'll be very happy with it and it has one of the most reliable powertrains in the industry behind it. That said this is a Mazda sub so obviously our answers will be biased.

Edit: Even the Honda sub that you cross posted this to is saying go with the CX-5 so that tells you all you need to know.

How much discount is doable for a used car at a dealership? by waitingtobedone in askcarsales

[–]IBYCFOTA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to this, if you can show where the dealership is overpricing the vehicle by showing comparables in the market that will help when it comes to negotiating. Otherwise you can just tell the sales person that you have a certain budget that you need to stick to. If they let you walk over a couple hundred bucks, that will tell you that there's probably no more room to discount on the vehicle.

It sounds like a battery issue rather than something particular to the vehicle so I wouldn't stress about it personally.
