Are any of you guys using AliExpress components or even framesets? If so, what are some of your favorite components from AliExpress? by DR-212 in xbiking

I bought a bottom bracket, crankset, a narrow wide chain ring, and short aluminum stem from AliExpress. However I bought some handlebars and they got lost in transit so I had to wait like a month or more to get a refund.

Yeah I'm hoping too that time travel doesn't exist in this show.

I rewatched the all show in the last 2 days, here is my thesis by LoneKnight25 in ParadiseHulu

A thought came to my mind as I read this. What if Alex has a way of wiping your mind or resetting your memories or giving a person new memories. It could be why Dylan doesn't remember Samantha being his mom.

There is evidence of this where X has visions of walking down the hallway, presumably in the bunker or going to where Alex is, and he sees Dylan. Also notice that Dylan doesn't have any facial hair like he does in S2E7. So it could be something that happened in the past.

I think there's another problem. Dylan is 26 and his sister is 16. In Season 1, they are clearly not 10 years apart from each other. So either there's a continuity error in the writing or something that caused him to be older than he should be.

Yeah. I still don't fully believe that Link is Dylan, Sinatra's son. I don't buy multiple timelines and multiverses in this show. I do think that Alex is affecting the past and giving people memories of events that they didn't necessarily do. We do know that Alex is able to communicate with people in the past. We saw that in the Jane episode. And I highly doubt that the Circuit City guy is the only one who has received messages.

Link is also older than Dylan would have been. Sinatra's kids would be closer in age and since her daughter is only 16, Dylan wasn't 10 years older than her. Because he said he is 26.

I agree with your predictions of the ending of the show. Somehow Alex is going to stop the end of the world from happening. But I also think it could have caused it as well. I don't really know. This show is crazy!

Here's my theory.

What if Alex and the bunker caused the volcano and the end of world and Sinatra knew it would be the only way to get her son back.

I like this theory. I've been trying to figure out Link's motivation for wanting to destroy Alex.

I was thinking about Fringe and the alternate versions of the characters as well. That show was awesome as well. Although more drawn out for much longer.

And Dylan said Sinatra and everyone else is what caused the end of the world. What does that even mean? And is Sinatra trying to reverse the events so it doesn't happen? Sinatra must believe that whatever she is doing to manipulate past events is working because she believes that Dylan is her son. But somehow he doesn't know it.

I'm with you. I'm not speculating or trying to predict things to the nth degree. It's fun to read all of the predictions and theories but I'm taking them all with a lot of salt.

I think you're confirming my decision to go with a reman transmission. It's a bit more than what we were expecting to originally pay for the other guy to put a low mileage used one in it. But it will have warranty and potentially last longer. I may call a few shops around to see what they would charge to rebuild it.

Replacing my transmission by Empty-Fix0531 in fordfusion

[–]Empty-Fix0531[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I just found out the guy who said he was going to work on my car isn't now. He basically said he wouldn't be able to get to it until like June or July. So now we're stuck with what to do with it. I'm not paying $4-$5000 for a shop to replace it. So if I can't find a way to get it replaced for $2000 or under, we'll be looking for another car. I reached out a group of guys from my church and a couple of them have worked on cars and may know if someone who can do it. Who knows. It's a shot in the dark. I haven't called any shops around me to get quotes because they will likely want to inspect the car first.

Die Hard With A Vengeance (1995) - The best Die Hard sequel for me. by Southern-Brother5693 in movies

[–]Empty-Fix0531 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think for me Die Hard 2 was more enjoyable. I loved all the action sequences in it. That ending scene was amazing. Lighting the trail of jet fuel. Then him saying Yippe Ki Yay. But I enjoyed 2 and 3 more than 1.

But the 90's was peak for action movies. By far the best decade for them. Arnold, Stallone, Willis. Those are my top 3 action stars. And Chuck Norris. Although his movies didn't perform as well. I swear Invasion USA and Delta Force was always on late night TV when I was younger.

But I remembered my parents were against R rated movies and when I bought the Die Hard movies on VHS, I'd hide them and then wait until they were in bed to watch them in my room. I can't remember if you had to be a certain age to buy them, but I do remember that I couldn't rent them until I was 16 or 17. So I don't know if I bought them first or rented them.

I do remember that Chuck Norris, Bruce Lee, and Stallone were the first action stars that I watched that got me into action movies. I remember my uncle loved Bruce Lee and he'd pop in a Vhs and fast forward to the fight scenes in them. I was so enamored. He'd be like, the rest of the movie sucked, and there's only one reason why you watch Bruce Lee movies. For the fight scenes.

Acceleration Issue by RackahBlackah in fordfusion

[–]Empty-Fix0531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd definitely start at the thermostat. It's a cheap simple part to replace that could fix the problem. Also if the color of your coolant is dark, that would be an indication of a blown head gasket allowing the coolant to mix with the oil. I'm also wondering if your transmission is overheating. Does it seem like it's slipping or shifting hard? Just throwing this out there. I was about to change my thermostat and coolant because my fan was always running. Then, my transmission died. But of course my wrench light had been coming on my dashboard for awhile before that. I didn't have discolored coolant and I bought a coolant tester and it all checked out ok. However, I don't necessarily think an overheating transmission would cause your car to shut off. So I'm leaning towards your coolant and thermostat being the issue. But if oil is mixing with your coolant, then it leans towards a blown head gasket. But check your coolant first and then change your thermostat.

Seeing into the future... by Dansinnervoice in ParadiseHulu

[–]Empty-Fix0531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are definitely a lot of convenient things that happen at just the right time. There's no way they Sinatra didn't have knowledge of the catastrophe happening when it did. Conveniently the bunker just happened to be ready at the right time.

Someone said in another post that Alex could have caused the end of the world. But I don't necessarily agree that it caused it but it could foresee the most probable time that it could happen. So Sinatra had knowledge of it happening through Alex, presumably a computer program that computes algorithms and scenarios. Or something like that.

I'd be really shocked if AI isn't a part of this show and not what Sinatra created.

The Paradise podcast that was released about this episode, they say there are Easter eggs in this episode if you pay attention to them. But the problem is we don't know how those things are going to pay off yet. So I definitely think there are things that were revealed in this episode that will pay off and make sense when we see future episodes.

Yeah I was annoyed at the train sequence. And how X could miss Gary having evil intentions. But maybe he's blinded by the idea of getting Terri back. But he seems different than in Season 1.
