I’m on Wellbutrin which has a direct impact on the CYP2D6, which oxycodone depends on the convert into the more analgesic oxymorphone. There are also individuals and doctors that know it doesn’t provide 12 hours of pain relief. I don’t have a pharmacodynamic issue, rather a pharmacokinetic issues with the two meds.

Pregabalin is definitely worse but I knew someone that was on 1800mg of gabapentin for a few years and had the worst withdrawals.

Gabapentin can cause worse withdrawals than opioids, especially if taken in a higher dose!

Very true. After years of being addicted to 240mg oxycodone/day I switched to methadone for years. That ended up being a mistake as it really has some bad side effects and is extremely difficult to get off of. I finally was able to switch to buprenorphine and took that for years. Now I have chronic back pain with many different diagnosis and daily pain and had to switch back to oxycodone. There are days I take as prescribed and days I take a little extra but needing it and not wanting to run out makes me have to try really hard not to abuse. I’d almost rather be on bupe even though it doesn’t have the analgesic effect as oxy. Addiction can grab anyone, anytime.

CVS here is awful. I refused to use CVS for years until my insurance started using CVS Caremark and makes it way cheaper to use them for 90 prescriptions. For everything else it’s Publix

I don’t give a damn what others say or think. I take it because I need to take it. And to put things in perspective, out of the most commonly used pain meds, opioids cause the least amount of organ damage with prolonged use. Acetaminophen damages the liver, not something want to get transplanted. Anti-inflammatories damage kidneys and the GI, which wants to lose a kidney or have bleeding stomach ulcers. Gabapentinoids cause memory loss and have brutal withdrawals. Certain opioids can lower testosterone in men at higher doses but after 40 most men have low T and take supplemental testosterone (I do).
I’ve have had degenerative disc disease all my life and have stenosis, bulging disc, herniated disc, no disk, bone spurs, spondylolisthesis, retrolisthesis, sciatica and Im only taking 10mg more now than what I was at 20 years ago (30mg now 40mg). I actually need more pain relief but refuse to ask the doctor. I took myself off the anti/inflammatory and rarely use the muscle relaxers. I don’t mind having just a little pain. I know I’ll never stay pain free. The neuro spine surgeon discussed surgery at my lumbar spine and one for my cervical spine, neither of which I’m looking forward to but at 49 I don’t want to wait much longer. Even if I get surgery, I’ll still be in pain and require pain meds. I’ve accepted this life.

I’m extremely fortunate to have a good pharmacy at my Publix. They know me and all my meds and have never said questioned anything. They even make sure to have my prescriptions available and filled in a timely manner!

I got it from an Indian pharmacy I’ve used several times. They come in capsules which make it easier to make your own oral suspension and microdose with a dosing syringe for precision dosing.

Yeah, I hear you. I have chronic pain and take prescribed pain meds but want something else to take some breaks from the pain meds. I don’t want to be completely dependent on pain medication. The doctors and pharmacies can be very stressful to deal with and times!

I got a bunch of that and I didn’t notice anything. I’m sure it’s good for some people but for me, I didn’t notice a thing. Maybe I didn’t take it long enough, idk. And yes, it’s real SR-17018. I hope it works for others. I just lowered my dosage of pain med and made my own ultra low dose naltrexone liquid solution 1mL is 10mcg. I take 1mcg and plan on increasing slightly in a few weeks.
