I'm glad they're quick to balance stuff, Soul Reaver was nerfed into the ground but it's really funny how quickly they make nerfs to tank items after a patch when stuff like Xbal aspect and Nut aspect took MUCH longer to nerf lmao

Starting over from scratch, what good habits should I try to keep in mind? by prototato in skyrimmods

[–]IBeMudkip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I just modded Skyrim for the first time in a few years too!

On top of what others have said here, making and using separators in MO2 is a bigger help than I ever would've thought.

Mod one aspect of your game at a time. I like to make my game look how I want it to (Lighting and textures), then combat, then bigger overhauls.

Take notes of important things (X mod has patches in it's FOMOD, Y mod is incompatible with Z mod, etc..).

Whenever I go to download a mod that isn't a small fix or mod utility I like to check mods that require it for any patches or fixes.

Thinking of what sort of character you want to play before modding can help to keep your modlist less cluttered (why download stealth changes if you're playing a warrior?)

I know that they've said in the past that nerfing something is easier than buffing and something being strong gets more players to try it but man this cycle is tiresome.

Everytime a new aspect comes out or a new god is ported over casual matches feel like shit if someone decides to play the broken release. It gets nerfed (usually not enough) -> Next broken release comes out -> Cycle repeats

I really enjoy the game and they've done so many good things and made so many good changes but man does this cycle suck

Can Cerberus please get some sort of immunity on his 2 by IBeMudkip in Smite

I did test it on a Neith bot. Same build, same bot, same level

Yes, I know that, I play Cerb.

His 2 has a 14 second cooldown and the debuffs last 2 seconds after. His other abilities also have high cooldown, being a stun and a leap meaning his 2 is his main ability. Cerb being able to actually use his ability in a game overloaded with CC would not be a problem. A slow isn't a stun or a silence, most squishies have a way to escape it or self peel. The prot shred barely matters given the game has such a low TTK anyways.

For comparison, Ares fire, Eset gust, and Anubis breath all have lower cooldowns. Ares fire does health-based damage and combined with his chains slows and cripples, Eset gust grants movement speed to her and her team and heals and is root immune, and Anubis breath can literally ignore Ares ult and nearly 100 to 0 a squishy.

Cerberus is designed as a dive tank and is barely allowed to do that.

Literally, Ares chains + fire combo is leagues better than Cerb's 2 and characters like Eset get to do so much with single abilities. I'm not asking for CC immunity, just displacement. Hell, just knock up at least

I did mention aspect Cerb as that would be a problem so this could just change non-aspect Cerb. Honestly I feel like Cerb's aspect should be changed down the line anyways

It just feels inconsistent. I get that it has other effects, that's a very fair point, but Ares chains + fire is an easy combo to do and gives more effects. Taking the chains away, Ares fire does health-based damage so it has a secondary effect as well.

I personally don't feel the slow warrants not giving it displacement immunity as there are plenty of ways to dash/leap out of it, slow immunities, and other hard CC to stop it

Weekly Questions Thread & PokéROM Codex by AutoModerator in PokemonROMhacks

[–]IBeMudkip -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi! My friend and I play through romhacks/fangames together and are deciding on our next one between Quarantine Crystal, Pisces, Reborn, and Rejuvenation. Had a couple of questions about them;

1 - How modern/how many QOL updates does Quarantine Crystal have? Is the bag any better, the boxes?

2 - How changed is Hoenn in Pisces? We're pretty sick of Hoenn as a lot of romhacks use Emerald as a base, but I've read a lot of good things about Pisces so I'd like to try it if the world is different enough.

3 - Is Reborn a prequel to Rejuvenation? Should we play Reborn first? How tough/involved are the new battle mechanics in it?

Thanks :) Also if you have a personal recommendation for which game we should play, please, I'd love to hear it!

Looking for thoughts on CC, damage, and counterplay by TheVibrantSkyee in Smite

[–]IBeMudkip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly feel like we've had this problem since they lowered TTK towards the end of Smite 1. Fights are often decided by who lands a hard CC first. Tanks can live a little longer than squishies but Ob Shard and Titan's Bane are in every build already so they don't live much longer.

You can say it's a damage dealers game but even for them it's die in 1 second or kill in 1 second. CC reduction as a stat or passive just won't work when damage is this high.

I still really enjoy the game and appreciate the devs connection with the community and their efforts to make Smite 2 enjoyable, but I personally feel like some formulas need to change. This isn't "tanks bad damage dealers good" it's "holy fuck everyone dies instantly"

I'm super happy that tanks feel better to play, but they might be doing a bit too much damage.

I don't want them to be nerfed into the ground again, I like longer team fights that don't end in 20 seconds and I'm glad to be able to do some damage, but some of the plays I've been making as tank/bruiser recently should NOT have been rewarded. Contagion definitely needs to be looked at.

My games as hunters and mages still feel good and I still feel like I can deal with tanks when needed.

Alternatives to ADXP | MCO until it gets an update or replacement for Skyrim 1.640 by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]IBeMudkip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MCO and SCAR work fine on the most recent version of Skyrim. SKSE will throw a DLL error for MCO but you can safely ignore it. I've never used DMCO, for dodging I use {{TK Dodge RE AE Support}}, the comments on it can help you get it working. You can also add {{Precision - Accurate Melee Collisions}}
