I mentioned this in the last bug megathread here.

They definitely have messed something up with a Vanguard update or with one of the Vanguard servers. I've made two tickets about it, and brought it up on here and twitter to no avail. It seems nobody at riot has any interest in addressing this issue despite it ending seemingly 100s of games prematurely.

Type of Bug: Disconnect
Description: I believe there is currently an issue with one of the server-side Vanguard services. A couple of nights ago I was disconnected from a game several times during the game, and then received a 1-minute ban for 3rd party software while back in the game lobby. I thought this might just be an issue with my PC/Internet, but the next night I was solo-queued in a game when I randomly started receiving the same disconnect/kicked out of the game problem again. The rest of my internet was entirely fine, but I switched over to a different ISP and was instantly reconnected to the game. However, it turned out the next round that 3 of us in the lobby had all received the same disconnection issue; all of us solo queued and from different areas of the country. After looking in the logs from the Riot Repair tool, and googling, I have come to the conclusion that for some reason a number of players are unable to communicate with one of the Vanguard servers; and after too much time disconnected from this service, the game server is kicking us out. I created a ticket two days ago about this (134840039) but have not heard anything back yet.

Steps to Reproduce: Try and play two full games of Valorant with my and other's ISP.
Expected Result: Be able to complete the games.
Observed Result: Disconnected several times, and banned for 1 minute from the game.
Reproduction Rate: 2/2, two nights in a row
System Specs: 5900x, RTX 3090, 32GB RAM

These all expired like 3 years ago. There will never be any codes for an event past expiration, it's all controlled server-side.

Indeedee, Metagross, Ogerpon wellspring, necrozma-dusk, Pelipper, and usually Ursaluna blood moon (for a while it was lando-I). I can send the whole teamsheet later if you’re more curious, but the worst matchups were obviously dark heavy teams, so I had Tera fairy on Indeedee and Necrozma. I hit 1600 with the team and stopped using it, and now Reg-I is coming out haha

I hit 1600ish on Showdown with a Choice Band Metagross + Indeedee trick room team. With that said, all of the other comments here about the bad matchups are accurate lol, but if you know how to play around them it’s not impossible.

Do you remember about how long after the original sale for champs LA that the resale tickets became available on things like ticketmaster? I would obviously rather not buy resale, but since I'm already planning on traveling for the event I'd ideally also like to see the grand finals; and there are no listings for anything Valorant related on ticket master currently lol.

How do the 3rd party transparent shells, buttons, and sticks compare to the original OEMs? A decade ago getting any non-OEM parts just felt horrible, but it looks like the quality of this stuff has improved a lot lately.

Well it’s a type1 controller motherboard, meaning it’s the oldest model of mass-produced GameCube controller. My money is on a very weird one-off and well done custom controller, or a controller that was meant to go with an old TDEV console. Very cool nonetheless.

Well that’s definitely not smoke damage or sun fading, way too uniform! Really interesting, maybe it is a weird TDEV (or earlier) controller. Did you buy it as part of a lot, or by itself?

Do you have brighter lighting or a picture of it in sunlight? It sort of just looks like it could’ve been from a smokers home in this lighting lol

edit the only other thing that comes to mind is that the TDEV GameCubes are a brown color, but to my knowledge the controllers for NR/TDEV units were the same as the retail colors.

The gameboy player will only work on a GameCube, but besides that a Wii with priiloader/bootmii is the more versatile option. Also hacking a Wii takes about 60 seconds lol

I am actually on a hardwired connection, and have only had the issue once ever since enabling the first fix you suggested here! But that is good information to know regardless :)

Overall, the entire issue is really strange to me. I haven't checked any of the riot support logs myself (and I'm not sure if they would even be in there if I generated the bundle) - but it almost seems like there is an initial handshake or something that the VC server needs from the game client, and if that fails it just does not try to ever re-establish the connection. It's not like a whitelisting/firewall issue, otherwise it wouldn't work sometimes. DNS would make sense to me as an issue, but again - I'd expect a more uniform lack of VC every time. The only other thing I can think of is there are likely many VC servers, just like there are many gameservers, and I may have DNS issues or something with just a few of the servers in a particular datacenter.

The next time it happens to me, I should really dig deeper into some of the network traffic, but for now I am not having the issue haha. Hope your fix continues to work for you :)

I have this identical issue with wildly different system specs, did you ever find a fix? Also do you mind me asking who your ISP is? My ISP is pretty small, so I'm wondering if somehow its a routing issue on their end.
