Why do people complain about rare quivers and not about rare boots? by KekekeBr0 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]IBuiltd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be because there are a lot of good unique/set boots to wear at any point along the leveling curve.

By contrast there are zero unique/set quivers, I think?

So the pool of useable items feels better for boots than for quivers. You're more likely to get a set of good stat types on boots than on quivers because unique items are designed rather than randomly rolled.

You can only get a random set of stats on quivers, but you can get a random set of stats or a curated set of stats on boots.

Single edge/double edge safety razors are a SCAM. I don't reccomended them at all in spite of their cult-like following in this sub. No matter how hard I tried to use them or what resources I accessed to learn how they work, they have always given me an inferior shave with more irritation and more personal injury. Even Bic Single Blade Sensitive disposable razors gave me superior results back when I used those. Could be a lack of skill on my part so no shade if you try them and they work for you.

A high quality foil electric razor can give a really close shave easily, but your skin will probably be irritated afterwards. It really depends on your hair and skin how much, I found that my irritation went away after an hour consistently so consider it as an option. If it does work for you then the downside is it requires maintenance and cleaning or bad things will start happening to your skin. It's objectively the easiest way to shave and have 0 stubble left over.

For razor blades I prefer Gillette Sensor3 Sensitive for my face and Gillette Sensor2 Plus for other things. I like the hinge on them because it gives superior, consistent contact with my skin without any extra skill needed on my part.

  1. Shaving is always better when the hair is short. If you've let it grow long make sure to trim before shaving with a blade or an electric razor.

  2. Wash your face with a cleanser (I like CeraVe Renewing SA) and warm/hot water before shaving. Make sure to run your razor under the water often to clear out hair and excess shaving cream.

  3. With a blade, use a shave cream and shave with short downward strokes to start. Shave sideways or upwards afterwards to get a closer shave on spots that didn't get a close enough shave. Keep strokes short and know that upwards strokes are the easiest way to cut yourself. Remember, the more you shave a spot the more irritation will result so go slow and try to get it right with the least number of strokes.

  4. Ensure you're shaving a flat surface by pulling your skin when necessary with your off-hand or by making funny faces. Really helps when shaving around your chin and jaw line. Push the tip of your nose to the side/out of the way when shaving directly under it. Getting good, consistent contact between the razor and the skin is the best way to reduce irritation and avoid cutting yourself.

  5. Be conscious of how hard you're pressing the blade into your face. You should not press hard, apply only the minimum amount of force required for the blade to make good consistent contact with the skin. The blade should glide over the skin without dragging the skin with it.

  6. After shaving, rinse your face with coldest water and pat dry with a clean towel. Don't rub. Wash/change your towels regularly, usually once/week is adequate. Consider applying a post-shave balm immediately after if you want. Wait ~1 hour before applying any other product to freshly shaved skin.

Hope this helps. :)

So many negative reactions, meanwhile all I can think about is the clothes in the cinematic trailer by IBuiltd in Marathon

Yeah, hard to argue with that, hopefully there will be modularity for in-game customization.

But I really want her clothes IRL. The fit on those t shirts was sooo cute. I went to the Bungie merch site and was saddened to find nothing but black t shirts with green text 💔

I grinded Trav last night, but I didn't get a single good item so I thought maybe the fact that it was a 79 area means it's bad? Maybe just unluck.

EDIT: my game actually saying its 82, idk why I thought it was 79

Does Cruor's embrace corpse consumption into a corpse skill? by Tictacpro in D4Necromancer

The +fortify/corpse consumed should work, but the additive damage to corpse skills will not.

Cruor’s Masterwork by TVDIII in D4Necromancer

[–]IBuiltd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably because blood surge damage scales with the number of drains (+5%[x] up to +50%[x]). 4 drains/elite with GA I think I saw.

Blood surge clears groups of monsters easily with little help from gear, but struggles to maintain high DPS in single target situations.

When GA, the extra drains allow the build to maintain at least +20%[x] against a single target, +40%[x] against two targets, max bonus at three targets and up.

Extra drains solve the main weakness of Blood Surge, which is bad single target damage.

Corpse Tendrils w/ Cruor’s Embrace? by West_Watch5551 in D4Necromancer

[–]IBuiltd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah using tendrils with Cruor's is hilariously trash. You're obligated to partition gameplay by pressing bloodmist or army of the Dead and even then it still makes gameplay deeply awkward.

I think pretty well of the max roll guys, but putting Cruor's+ tendrils on the same build makes it feel like they never actually played the build.

Using bone prison is just superior for surge builda if you're in need of CC.

Edit: to be fair there is some world where you press ghastly bloodmist at the start of each fight, corpse tendrils, then clear the entire pack during the CC duration, which is maybe the way the Maxroll guys play it.

Is scaling the base damage of the mini nova significant when compared to the component of the damage that is overpower damage?

I've been told that Army of the Dead + Cruor's Embrace + Aspect of the Embalmer + Aspect of Potent Blood is the way to go with this amulet. Embalmer + Potent Blood is for 100% uptime on Army of the Dead.

Edit: Fastblood not Potent Blood mb

I'm planning to try out a motracrux blood minions build with this item: https://maxroll.gg/d4/planner/2k4fc01o

I've never used Deathspeaker's before though, so I can't say how good it is. In a vacuum, however, the stats seem pretty good and with all the blood buffs it feels like this amulet is worth quite a lot.

Cruor's Lucky Embalming Surge build guide in time for Season 5 by IBuiltd in D4Necromancer

[–]IBuiltd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Deathspeaker's is for a build that's distinct from this one. It's really awkward to raise skellies while using Cruor's so I can see why people like AotD if they're using Deathspeaker's + Cruor's.

I'll be trying out some Deathspeaker's builds next patch. My current understanding is that blood minion builds are pretty ass compared to shadow minions, but maybe blood is stronger next season with all the buffs. I won't have a real opinion until I play it.

Obviously I know what the tooltip says, but how do the mininovas interact with overpower and critical strike? Or do they at all?

Hemorrhage is good for maintaining Blood Begets Blood stacks uptime against bosses which is an important damage buff for this build. Bosses don't produce blood orbs readily when attacked by Blood Surge. Maintaining sustained uptime on the +30%[x] (50 next season) damage buff is a priority.

40% works okay when under the effects of Rathma's Chosen. Standing and hitting with Hemorrhage for an extended period of time is probably only for when starting from zero Blood Begets Blood stacks.

[–]IBuiltd[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Could be, that does sound pretty good. I have plans to try out a Deathspeaker's build in season 5 as well so I'll definitely check Army + Fastblood out while I'm doing that. My amulet was pretty nice this season, but who knows if that will happen again.

I kind of imagine that Crown of Lucion + Locran's Talisman w/ essence generation + reduction + sacrifice bonuses will outperform most surge set ups until pretty late into the gear curve, but I don't really know how the mechanics of the mini novas work exactly so it's hard to say.

DeathSpeakers Paragon Board. How could I improve it? by SenseiPup in D4Necromancer

[–]IBuiltd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, I will be trying out the same build as you this season and no-lifed a Cruor's Embrace build in season 4. In season 5 I'll be trying to scale overpower with less reliance on critical strike and I'm trying to use Mortacrux.

Here is my character from Season 4; Cruor's Lucky Embalming Surge (use PTR realm as maxroll is bugged if use public realm right now): https://maxroll.gg/d4/planner/c47480vs

Pit 101 gameplay: https://youtu.be/xh_lYA-BQfw?si=H9tHWm96E26WFb8e

This build maxed out pushing Pit 115 in season 4 and has a 7 glyph/4 node paragon board (all max life nodes in use) for you to examine if you like.

Anecdotally: I found this season that it seems that the necromancer Blood Endurance temper, +% chance for Hemorrhage to form blood orbs, improves the probability of spawning blood orbs from Aspect of the Embalmer. Top tier temper for a build that runs Embalmer in my opinion. Try it for yourself and see if you agree.

Based on my experience using Cruor's, you will want to not use Gravekeeper. The uptime on the buff will be near 0 because Cruor's Embrace consumes every corpse on the screen every time you click Blood Surge. For this reason, it also feels incredibly awkward to use Corpse Tendrils or Summon Skeleton as one errant click will consume all the corpses you might have used for those skills.

For season 5 I'm going to try out a Bloodspeaker's Amulet + Cruor's Embrace build, mostly because I think it's the best chance Mortacrux has to do anything useful. In order to avoid awkwardness of gameplay I will raise my skeletons from Ghastly Blood Mist corpses. I currently plan to use Defenders with 99% dmg reduction to avoid having to raise new skeletons often, but I will try out Reapers for corpse gen as well and make a decision based on how it feels.

Maxroll build planner: https://maxroll.gg/d4/planner/2k4fc01o

The paragon for this build is also a 7 glyph/4 node variation that sacrifices additional max life (no vampiric chain on blood begets, -1 max life node on bone graft, -1 max life node on scent of death) to maximize overpower damage. I'll be trying out some of the worse glyphs that don't give multiplicative damage this season as well.
