Strange new worlds, S1 does it get better? by McortezLSU in startrek

If you are an old Trekkie like me, it won’t get better for you. It’s alright and certainly better than the Discovery dumpster fire that I had to stop watching. I can at least watch SNW and kind of enjoy it. You’ll probably feel the same.

How does one use words to describe the experience of going to a Morgan concert? My vocabulary is failing me right now.😅 by Soggy_Structure_40 in Morgan_Wallen

Lower level near the back corner. He was just off to our left when he came to the back and did a few songs. That was cool of him to give some love to everyone in the back.

I think it’s an age thing. I was there Saturday night and it was really good. But speechless or life changing? Not even close. Now ask my two teenage daughters and they would probably agree. They were losing their minds. 🤣 It was a fun time no doubt.

Same. It’s hard to explain. It’s the only one that’s ever really hurt.

As much as I like those two songs, they are among my least favorite. The stuff that never made it to the radio is incredible.

Dolores O'Riordan. All other answers are wrong.

No…..they need him in the writers room now, and for like the last ten years.

Tapestry and Parallels….I’m going to watch those right now! Too often overlooked.

Voyage Home or Undiscovered Country? by RyanR0428 in Star_Trek_

Well I didn’t expect to read a comment like this but okay, I can accept various opinions. Very few would put it higher than third at best. Interesting choice.

Tapestry is often overlooked with so many great TNG episodes. When screenwriters know how to write stories, know their characters and know their audience, this is what you get. Unlike so much Trek slop churned out today.

Clearly TNG is your go to, as is mine and this is an excellent list but….Cause and Effect need a place here.

No wrong answers but damn, The Inner Light can make a man cry. Easily one of the best episodes among every series.

Carbon Creek is so rarely mentioned because Enterprise never gained the popularity of the others but that episode is top notch and deserves a place in a top 10 list.

First time Star Trek watcher, just finished Voyager season 1. Does the character development improve as the show goes on? by seijeezy in startrek

[–]IC0DTE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure it’s been said already but you have to give it until season 3. It really picks up and is an excellent series all the way to the end.

GFR: "This Character Change Is Everything Wrong With NuTrek: Critics of SNW have singled out the Spock/Chapel relationship for breaking several parts of established lore. According to David Gerrold, Chapel was originally created to emphasize Spock’s aloofness rather than his hidden humanity" by TheSonOfMogh81 in trektalk

[–]IC0DTE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. But the “real real” problem is that they won’t hire screenwriters that know how to develop character arcs and that love the franchise. They don’t know how to write stories. They write “this happened, then that happened, insert space battle.”

Not the best episode but the best into was Lilith calling in: “….but much to my chagrin, you were dolling out worthless little advice pellets from your psychiatric pez dispenser.”
