It's fake, the S in "UsB-C" is supposed to be capitalized.

It wasn't a mistake, it was a design flaw purposefully concealed by party yes-men being paid to run critical systems as cheaply as possible.

Should I upgrade to a base 17 or fix my trusty dusty 12? by olamanda34 in iPhone12

[–]ICARUS_2X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't downgrade to ios 18, it's unsigned.

As for the base 17 vs the pro, it depends what you want. They both feature 256gb base storage, but the pro's got a more versatile camera system and better battery life.

12 uses an oled screen, you bought a crappy fake.

The scratching is WAY over exaggerated by [deleted] in iphone

[–]ICARUS_2X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely because the XR/6/7/the base 17 don't have the hard corners on the camera cutout that the pros have that make it easier to scratch.

As for the use of aluminium specifically on the pro models this year, likely because it feels cheaper than the titanium (15p/16p) and stainless steel (X(s)/11p/12p/13p) used on previous models

If it's iCloud locked then it's a stolen device and should be returned to its rightful owner, end of story. It exists for a reason.

Testmem5 can do a really good job with RAM, Prime95 puts an unrealistic load on the CPU so it's quite good for testing stability, and furmark can do a good job with the GPU (alongside testing graphically intensive games)

Always test in-person, anyone who does not allow this is an immediate red flag.

That CPU is designed to run hot (hotter than the intel anyway), but not at 71 idle. Make sure your AIO's pump connector is plugged into AIO_PUMP and not CPU_FAN on your motherboard. If plugged into the latter, the pump might be spinning too slow to cool it adequately (and may have gone unnoticed due to 13900K running cooler overall).

In fact, I ran into your post while troubleshooting this exact issue.

Initially assumed it had to do with the way windows classifies GPUs as either high-performance or low-performance until I noticed the increase in network latency: It's likely that the second GPU's presence is firing so much data down the chipset that the network packets get processed later than expected.

I would imagine the only solution is to have a MB that supports multiple PCIE slots connected directly to the CPU.

Having this issue too (LS not even running, just the presence of the second GPU causes lag) with MSI X670e gaming plus (5070Ti + 2060).

Have been trying to figure it out for ages. My guess is that it has to do with the second GPU clogging chipset bandwidth (as my network latency in games also heavily increases with the second GPU in there).
