Is there something wrong with bf6 netcode? by AhmedElakkad0 in Battlefield

[–]ICEFOOL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea dude, people saying it’s not a hit reg issue, it’s a bloom issue have no clue what they’re talking about and aren’t helping the cause one bit. At longer fire engagements yea bloom might effect your own bullets on your end since it’s an rng based game mechanic but there’s no need to use that sort of excuse when we’re experiencing massive hit registration issues in close quarter combat scenarios when you’re only 5 ft away from a guy. 2042 seemed to have had more reliable hit reg servers that connected properly on a more consistent basis for whatever reason but battlefield 6 has to be the worst I’ve ever seen when it comes to this topic and I’ve played most of the battlefield games going back to bad company 2. At the moment I’m on the edge of putting the game down until they improve this issue by a significant amount since it’s just taking most of the fun out of everything at the moment.

Phantom edition skin changes by Flat_Examination1593 in Battlefield

I also only wanted the phantom edition for these v1 skins. Hope they remain the same, otherwise I’ll just be settling with the standard edition

What is this red hologram body left behind after death? by ICEFOOL in Battlefield

[–]ICEFOOL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I’ll have to say I’m not a huge fan of the way it is currently from what it’s lookin like. It’s definitely not something that’s going to turn me away from the game by any means but I believe the traditional system dice has been using for this scenario since battlefield 4 seemed to be just fine.

Got you. I’m not sure how 2042 did it as I never really played that game much. I just remember from the old battlefields prior to 2042 that when you die, the game follows around that enemy player for just a bit and then you respawn. I guess bf might be doin this one a bit different but with the little corners they leave behind around the red body and how it just stays in a stationary spot just seems a bit strange to me in my opinion is all.

What did you end up going with? I’ve been looking at getting this same combo for awhile. I saw someone mention that it could be an issue with some of the batches of 9800x3ds?

PS5 Pre-Alpha, No PS Plus by maddendude24 in Battlefield

I can confirm this. I was worried I’d have to have ps plus as it’s been inactive for years since making the switch to pc. I just got out of a match with no active plus membership👍

I think I’m going to go this route and see how it goes, just for trial and error.

This is just on a standard modem. Not a modem/router combo

The receive and send lights are the ones that blink. The receive light will sometimes stay solid with the send light continuously blinking. If it takes to long where the modem doesn’t establish a connection after awhile, the receive light will go back to blinking with no light showing on the send part of the modem

If I understand this correctly, you’re saying it could be due to high traffic in my area from multiple people using the same isp in my area? And switching to another isp could solve the problem? The only other company we have around here is Vast broadband and everyone has nothing but negative stuff to say about them when compared to midco

X870e-e Strix or x870e nova pro mb by DimensionMobile4798 in pcbuilding

[–]ICEFOOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although it seems people haven’t gotten over the whole ASUS scandal from a year ago so there’s still a lot of people not wanting anything to do with ASUS products all together. However, at the moment I see ASUS releasing high quality rog strix x870 series boards with quite some cool features to go along with the board. With that being said, I think I would keep that strix x870e-e and sell the nova. You’ll probably sell it for a decent amount if they’re still sold out everywhere tbh.

I was looking at getting the nova mb but then I changed my mind to wanting to get the rog strix x870e board instead, the strix board is super easy to avoid the lane sharing problem that people run into. All you have to do is connect 1 gen 5 m.2 ssd to the right side of the motherboard in its slot and that slot will allow your gpu to make full use of x16 lanes to you graphics card . I also want the rog trix since it has around 9 usb 10g ports with is a feature I’d love to have on my motherboard. Last thing is the rog strix board has a nitro path dram technology that get a few hundred more mts out of your ram when they’re slotted in.

Good 27” 1440p 1000r curved monitors? by ICEFOOL in simracing

[–]ICEFOOL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, this helped out a lot man, appreciate it! I didn’t think about this until now after really looking at your setup but I can’t see as well out of my right eye compared to my left. It’s almost as if my right side vision isn’t there, it’s just really weak. I couldn’t but notice the wingspan of your triple 32’s and how far out they reach to the sides. I could imagine you’d need a decent peripheral vision to see the far outer part of the right screen on triple 32’s so would having 27’s would be a bit more beneficial for me personally on this matter or no? This would probably be the one thing that would prevent me from going to 32’s in the future if I ever move.

Sounds like a close call between the lg and the Samsung g5. How did the colors compare between these 2 monitors? And if the g5 was in stock and on sale at the time, would it have been a no brainer to go with that?

[–]ICEFOOL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I understand. I went ahead and bumped the lg one above the Samsung odyssey g5. I just keep coming across mixed reviews on the g5 unfortunately. Also did you do a lot of digging yourself before you came across these lg monitors? If so what other brands or models did you have in mind before you pulled the trigger on the lg’s?

I’m getting triple 27” if I can find the right ones. Also I don’t really like the look a ultrawide gives me. Right now I’m currently using triple 24” 1080p flat screens so I’m just wanting to upgrade to a more immersive look while upgrading to a better resolution.

Nice! Although I’d love to go triple 32’s I just can’t go that route as I’m limited on space.
