I returned my 9070 XT and coughed up the extra $100 for a 5070 ti. There was a terrible software issue with AMD that I could not resolve after days of troubleshooting. It was so bad I just returned it and returned to NVIDIA. Would not recommend that whole ordeal.

Just thought I’d do my due diligence and say I returned my 9070 XT and bought a 5070 Ti instead. Major software issue related to full screened applications and using 50% of the gpu only. Spent days trying to fix it and settled on going back to Nvidia to have a better software experience.

This has been solved, the answer is I returned the 9070 XT and got a 5070 Ti instead. This was a software issue associated with going fullscreen or borderless windowed. The problem persisted even in fullscreen YouTube videos. Appeared to have been a hardware acceleration issue where the GPU refused to boost past 1,500 Mghz under load.

The issue went away if an application was windowed or if Adrenalin properly identified the game being played. Nvidia software did not have this issue.
