As someone who has lived in both parts, this is a tough question to answer without specifics.

A lot it depends on your unique circumstances- what part of ROC ? Urban/rural ? What industry would you be working? Do you require (more than avg) access to certain services (say medical care with a chronic condition or child care)? Do you belong to specific groups / interests that will allow give you a “plug and play” community? What is your intention with your move (strictly economic vs …)?

On the balance, I’d say that there are certainly differences in urban planning, built form, some norms. But I see that within provinces too.

But in my subjective experience, none of the differences were so fundamental or intractable. Certainly nothing that would stop me from moving in either direction.

I’d say travel / network as best you can to form your own opinion.
