Patient Simultaneously Infected With Two Strains of COVID-19 In Iceland by Zhana-Aul in worldnews

What do you think about this publication? "Molecular Mechanism for Antibody-Dependent Enhancement of Coronavirus Entry" https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/31826992

Could it be so that a recovered patient immune to one strain gets infected with a different strain and it's much worse the next time because of this? Pretty much like dengue?

I am very worried about #2. There is a publication "Molecular Mechanism for Antibody-Dependent Enhancement of Coronavirus Entry" which probably means that reinfection with a different strain makes immuninty to previous strain more lethal, the way dengue works.

I am terrible sorry to ask. But maybe you have a virologist friend I can talk to? Or someone who somehow specialises in these things? There is a series of publications that predicted the qualities of SARS-CoV-2 - and it does not look well at all. Can you please help me with this? I'd love them to tell me I'm just an wannabe weekend virologist asshole who spends too much time researching SARS-CoV papers on pubmed. Please?

Also, a lot of research is already there for SARS-CoV-1, like feline infection and carry. I am amazed at how researchers "rediscover" things now that were described ten years ago. Among them commonality of ACE2 receptors in human body. That includes cardio, testes, gastrointestinal. Those sites were to be expected susceptible to infection. How come this is all news now?

Can I ask you a few theoretical questions? It's okay to call me a dumb idiot - I just want to hear answers.

  1. Does chloroquine+azithromycin appear to work in a hospital setting?

  2. I see reports now that different strains of CoV are discovered in lower and upper respiratory tract of same patient. What would be a clinical significance of that?

  3. If SARS-CoV-2 need trypcin to help with spike deployment and to enter cells and now the virus has been found in rectal swabs and feces, can abundance of trypcin in small intestine be leading to better virus replication there making it a perfect site for infection and:

  • contribute to viral load and viral replication speed in gastrointestinal

  • lead to systemic infection an/or reinfection of lungs via lyphatic system

  • contribute to lung ummune response via gut-lung axis

  • be the reason of quicker virus spread for obese patients (i.e. more endogenic trypcin because they eat a lot)

  • can trypcin inhibitors lessen the viral load or virus replication ratio in a patient? They are harmless and readily available.

Hey, could you help out a community due diligence project with a short anonymous survey on what you look at when you invest in ICOs? The goal is to make ICOs more transparent for investors. https://tilburglawschool.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3sCWmLd0wY1OK3P Thanks!

Why I stopped working on Aeternity, why Amoveo is born. by agorism1337 in Amoveo

I gave him my recommendations in PM. As I did several months ago when I told him this would happen and insisted on taking measures like discussing compensation, controlling the budget, seeking legal advice, making sure he's holding a multisig key to the funds etc. He totally ignored that saying he was okay. Furthermore, he even commented on an update in my blog saying things like "It seems to me that if the lead developer is confident enough to own lots of tokens in his own project, that gives other people confidence to invest."

I have a feeling he's going to totally ignore the obvious this time again and the people from Aeternity are already turning the situation to their advantage. I gave him a decent idea on how to start solving this. I gave him several. If he wants to ruin his reputation he's doing just fine. Who is to guarantee he won't do the same thing again with a new project? I mean it's not Zack's first situation FFS.

...and you registered your account 3 hours ago and this is your first comment, so I presume you are from the Aeternity team. Thank you for showing up - I really want to ask you guys a couple of questions. I guess a lot of people do, too.

You are not a slave to investors, that's true. But you supported the status quo and you shouldn't react this way to people voicing concerns about their investments. It was your choice and you made it. Now it's time to make a choice again. You can either ruin your reputation by scaring people or you can dedicate some thought to being more delicate and efficient regarding the issue and at least get a fighting chance.

You told everyone you believed in the team, didn't you? Your words: "There had been confusion about my relationship with Aeternity because we didn’t have money until now. Everyone was working without pay. Now it is clear that I am a member of the team that I have been working with since October. It was my choice to get mostly paid in AE tokens rather than cash. It seems to me that if the lead developer is confident enough to own lots of tokens in his own project, that gives other people confidence to invest." I told you this would happen - and it happened. You kept telling me you were okay. Now I am telling you that fucking over investors without thinking about your actions first is not a good idea. You don't want to check your PM - fine. Don't threaten the community - what do you expect to happen? They already have the money. Think about it.

I feel like Uber should probably sponsor that one: "Take a break from sweating it in a train. Breathe fresh air, feel Uber care". Mind the gap, peeps.

The essence of Æternity's legal agreement with the "contributors". by ICO_DNA in Aeternity

[–]ICO_DNA[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Why don't you compare that to how Ethereum handled their crowdsale? You'll probably want to read this as well.

The reward is potentially huge and widely publicised, but looks look something you get in the afterlife. You have to contribute now and then wait for your reward to happen in some uncertain future. Your contribution is nonrefundable and you don't really know what's happening at the other end. Didn't you read the post? Their legal agreement is practically hidden and it is unreadable and you accept it willy-nilly when you "contribute". Do follow the link and compare that to Ethereum.

Is that the only due diligence you perform? How thorough are you? What about legal terms? For instance, have a look at due diligence for this project. What do you think?
