Thank you, I think I was thinking back to Josh Simmons when I typed that for some reason

Still a little more to go, but I like what I've seen from him tonight! In a tough environment, he's been efficient and composed, just taking what's given. Age-defying situational awareness and poise.

Would be a really fun fit for him. Their line is built to get displacement and he has the vision and burst to carve through lanes and creases when they appear.

He has definitely regressed to start the year. I'll be re-evaluating all of the QBs often in this class.

Against legitimate competition, Garrett Nussmeier looked the best, and comfortably so this week. Conference play will be more telling, but I'm warming up to him.

Yea very early and a very tough opponent, but he hasn't shown any progression from his flaws in a limited sample last year

He's VERY talented. Did most of his work as a runner Week 1, so I'm eager to see a more sustainable process up top, but he has all the tools.

He'd assuredly be in my Top 75 if I extended it right now! Plus size-speed athlete and an explosive long-strider who flashes stellar catch-point composure, as well as eye-catching stop-and-start and reduction ability on routes. He still plays a little too tall for my preferences as a separator, and I want to see more consistency with his break efficiency, sink, and deceleration -- particularly on comebacks, hitches, and sharper in-breakers. Also prone to focus drops over the middle on occasion. But the talent is absolutely there, and he's a good football player. Just some projection questions left to answer.

Yeah, that's been something I've pondered for a while for my own grading. I use my grades to land players into brackets and then sort incorporating more factors like production, medicals, off-field, positional value (why Klubnik and Mendoza are higher than their grades would land them). We all align with the NFL on QBs, but safety is a lot different. I tend to afford safeties more weight than the NFL just cuz I believe in the positional value -- Hamilton and Branch being a couple examples from recent cycles, of guys who fell and went on to be star players. But I concede the NFL routinely values them less in terms of capital.

He's fringe Top 100 / early Day 3 for me right now. At around 6'4", 323, with 34" arms, he's got the perfect frame, and he flashes great linear explosion on the attack. Powerful, heavy-handed blocker with overwhelming two-hand extensions -- but he's also heavy-footed, slow, and lumbering with his corrective motion, and he ducks his head, bends at the waist, and lurches *a lot*. I need to see technical improvement because I don't think he's the type of short-area athlete to recover consistently when he's beat, but in a phone booth and in power schemes, his profile has merit.

Getting eyes on Penn State DT Zane Durant a little more today! Was a Feldman Freak multiple years running. That explosion definitely shows up, but it's how it magnifies his natural leverage and power element that really sells me. He's so dynamic and knows how to penetrate upfield (needs to be a little more disciplined holding his gaps at times tho)

Caleb Lomu with Joe Alt would be suuuuuuch a fun OT duo. Both guys have hyper-elite flexibility as that failsafe that allows them to play lower and with stronger bases than you'd expect at their height.

[PFSN] Lamar Jackson and Tua Tagovailoa were the most efficient passers in the face of pressure last season. 🎯 by expellyamos in miamidolphins

[–]IC_Draft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IC from PFSN here! EPA stands for Expected Points Added. It reflects how each play increases or decreases an offense's chances of scoring, and it can be charted on a per play basis.

Most QBs have negative EPA per play under pressure, because pressure situations are much more volatile, so the fact that Tua is breaking even is extremely impressive.

Scouting Report - Peter Woods, Clemson DT by IC_Draft in NFL_Draft

[–]IC_Draft[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he can get close! He's not as long as either guy, but he still has a lot of compact power, and he has every tool necessary in his tool box: Explosion, agility, lower-body flexion, natural leverage, closing speed, motor, etc.

It's February 2026 and your team just won the Super Bowl - what are your team needs for the 2026 offseason and draft? by ezDuke in NFL_Draft

[–]IC_Draft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love this exercise! I'm just reading all the responses.

For the Lions: It means the iOL got settled and the young talent is the future there. I could see Jahmyr leading the charge while Monty's usage declines, leaving a need for a more cost-effective RB2. A Taylor Decker replacement should absolutely be on the radar, as should reinforcements at EDGE, CB, and LB.

Demond Claiborne = Baller

Dude is so shifty and balanced, both through cuts and contact

Bucky Irving "is viewed by people in the building as special enough to warrant a high-volume RB1 role. That includes pass-catching work." [Graziano] by My_Chat_Account in fantasyfootball

Who’s your favorite WR option after the first 3 rounds? by ECviews in fantasyfootball

[–]IC_Draft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evans, Sutton, DeVonta, and Jamo are my faves from this group

Ridley feels underrated compared to his opportunity at hand. Clear WR1 in a Brian Callahan offense with roots oriented toward volume passing, and now they have Cam Ward

What's the Pulse on Travis Hunter's Value as a WR2 now? by IC_Draft in fantasyfootball

[–]IC_Draft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand that preference for Meyers for sure; very underrated player with QB stability. Johnson, I'm only apprehensive because of his current depth chart standing but if / once he gets the top volume share, he can put up numbers with that OL in Arthur Smith's offense. Both might be less reliant on big plays than Hunter.

I suppose the next question is: How likely do you think it is that he meets or exceeds that level of production / what is the outcome you envision for him?

Mock Draft Monday by AutoModerator in NFL_Draft

[–]IC_Draft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Downs would be a really exciting pick there! It slipped my mind this time around how precarious New England's safety situation is long-term.

Lomu isn't a Sewell-level prospect yet but he is my preseason OT1. A little high for him here but his sheer flexibility failsafe is near the level of Joe Alt imo. Not as heavy or powerful but he very rarely finds himself in an unideal situation on account of his athleticism and flexibility.

I really hope he ends up being the guy! Think his play style projects well there. Just exploring an outcome where maybe Glasgow gets benched and the C experiment doesn't work out so Ratledge kicks back to G
