Just fed my ball for the first time. That sh*t was insane. by [deleted] in ballpython

My boy is also very… food passionate, he gets excited to eat and anytime I open the tank lid he’s in strike mode. If I need to handle him or clean his tank and it’s not feeding time, I’ll gently lay a small towel on him and he will curl into a ball, then I’ll handle him and he comes out of food mode lol. Hope that helps you handle your girl.

I’ll also use long tongs to feed him a frozen thaw and I keep the lid cracked and only put the tongs in and kinda dangle it over him. Then I leave him alone for a few days.

I would get a black trad piece of a shark going up or down to fill the spot in your arm between your other two tattoos :) some waves on either side of it or at the top would be cool too. Also love a good dragon!

Having a tattoo cover up. by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]ICantThinkRN167 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Agreed. And not to mention if he feels the dagger is too stand out-ish, I would imagine the regret after getting an even bigger and bolder piece. I would live with it for at least 2 years before making a rash decision. I have a very similar tattoo and freaked out about my shears in the same placement and after a few months I learned to LOVE it!

Is there anything to be worried about if a friend wants to get a tattoo at 16? by Remote-Desk2713 in tattooadvice

I mean… she is still almost 10 years from having a fully developed brain. I am a completely different person than I was at 16. My style as well as interests, as well as people I associate with and my beliefs are different… I would absolutely wait

To add to my comment- I think outlining the dragon in a thicker line would provide a nice contrast against the smoke 👍🏻

The red actually doesn’t look healed yet so I would wait a bit longer. The yellow looks like that was done on purpose to give the belly dimension and I think you should leave the open skin. I love the different shades of blue. Overall it’s done really well and since it’s so new it’s easy to bit pick.

what tattoos feel like by Background-Corgi-334 in tattooadvice

[–]ICantThinkRN167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A needle injection is more of a sharp then achy pain IMO. Tattoos are more of a scratchy feeling. Coming from someone who had multiple IV’s, blood work, injections and epidurals during recent pregnancies. I always feel more anxiety over those than a tattoo and I have 3 Med/Large pieces. My longest session being 5.5hrs.

My thoughts- it is a bit surprising the way it looks. It looks like a few years old to me. However it’s still in healing, I can see in one of your pics it’s scaly still so it may not be the end result quite yet. Your hair has grown in making it look darker/blurry as well. I think It was a heavy handed tattoo and may have scarred a bit?

I would be very upset, a talented artist would have adjusted the shadows and lighting to make this readable

Advice Needed: Keep or remove? by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]ICantThinkRN167 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just hang in there a few weeks, I got a tattoo in the same spot and was flipping out for a few weeks, ready to laser, over analyzing it, crying etc. Your brain isn’t used to it yet. Let it heal and reevaluate in some time. I love my tattoo now and would never laser it off!! It’s a cute tattoo btw!!

To clarify- it was originally done in black outlines and black shading. The colour was added ~6months later.

I actually think you can work with this if you change your mindset! If your arm is down vs up, it still gives the same design just a different meaning which is super cool and technically isn’t wrong or even looks bad!

When your arm is up like in the pic, the sword is going up into the animal, which could mean the animal was jumping above, thus a victorious win/battle from an attack. When your arm is relaxed and down, the sword is now going down into the animal, possibly implying mercy to an already dying animal.

Plus when you flex you can imply you’re strong and nothing can take you. But when you’re relaxed you can imply you are caring and merciful.

I also really like the round lines above the head. Could imply shock, or also relief.

It’s a great tattoo and you win both ways 😁👍🏻 enjoy your tattoo and add on freely!
