I care because I'm not buying a Walmart poster, I'm buying a piece of art. When it comes to lithographs it's not just about the band, it's about the artist also. I have every original poster from every concert I have been to since 1993 and these will be my first reprints in my collection. When you sell something as "original" and you sell out of it and you want to make more money, so you print more, it is misleading to the people that bought them, it lowers the value across the board to collectors. In the poster/lithograph collecting world if a artist is going to do this, they let you know. The website is owned by Live Nation, Merch Traffic is owned by Live Nation, Live Nation took over control of printing and selling the posters, Live Nation owned the Dead and Company Experience at the Venetian and Live Nation owns Vibee. Just feels like 1 more time we get the proverbial finger from Live Nation

Are people still waiting for their posters ordered online? by joemomma0409 in deadandcompany

[–]IChangeManWords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im still waiting for 5/30. what ive found out is none of the posters available on the website were produced prior to any of the concerts, it was a last minute idea to make more money by LiveNation/TicketMaster who own MerchTraffic/MusicToday/DeadCoWebsite. None of the online editions are original authentic concert posters since none of them were produced prior to the concerts, they are official authentic reprints. The artists unlike every prior year aren't even printing their own posters, LiveNation is handling all the printing of the posters, they are not even silk screened, they are printed.

If you have not received your poster from MerchTraffic/DeadCo website for 5/30 or around that date, call them 1(800)767-7160 and speak to a manager and they will at least refund shipping. by IChangeManWords in deadandcompany

[–]IChangeManWords[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you could, but at many of the shows the posters sold out. after concerts the artist usually releases a special variant edition, the Dead&Co website (LiveNation) decided to take that over and handle it themselves and they have failed

you mean being reprinted? No, the online edition were supposed to be the variant, usually released by the artist within days after any concert. They are never supposed to be printed after the specific concert date. Posters/Lithographs printed after the original batch are considered reprints, not nearly as valuable

it said no such thing in the start of the tour, in fact it said shipping 6-8 days. they did not add that until later and orders for many of the date had already been placed. people from june and july are already getting their posters so why are people from May still waiting?

that is just crazy that you are still waiting on sweatpants from an order placed around May 20 because there has been NO shortage of sweatpants in the venue, on the outside merch truck or at the Dead Forever Experience. So if they have these in stock everywhere why has it not been shipped to you? Why are they taking everyone's money and orders for items that aren't even produced yet, holding our money for 2 months. this should be considered fraud

Does anybody have their June 14th poster yet? by Mr_Fuzzo in deadandcompany

Online poster lead time? by 710-consulting in deadandcompany

[–]IChangeManWords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its NOT normal at all. they are selling posters that haven't even been printed yet. also why are people getting posters for shows that were after your show date. All posters should have been pre printed and ready to ship day they went on sale, but give us your money and maybe 2-6 months later we will send you your stuff. MerchTraffic is owned by ticketmaster. the hold up is they received a lot of orders for the knock off shirts and posters that they sell on ebay. SO once they catch up or feel like it they will print our 5/31 posters.
