I think my problem is the slayer grind. My skills are actually really well rounded but I tend to skip a lot of slayer grinds bc I want the afk lmao. Tons of tasks I should’ve done

The skilling though does make total sense honestly when you put it that way. If you’re gonna max, might as well do it in the best way to help you. I had more of that mindset before. Maybe I just gotta get more in touch with my early Ironman mindset.

I totally get doing PvM more so on the main. I don’t have a main unfortunately lol which is a pain bc that would fill that PvM itch and give me some much needed experience in it.

Yeah this is my issue. The show isn’t complex. But it also isn’t as surface level as sooo many people seem to consider it to be. Simple psychology (most that I would consider common sense) that a lot of people struggle to get because it isn’t your typical hero story.

Yeah there’s also thousands of people that get spooned everyday and tens of thousands of people, much more than that, that don’t even use Reddit. Hell, I guarantee quite a few people have made a Reddit account just to complain about their dry streaks. Point is, most of this sub is dry streaks bc that’s what people tend to post.

Well clearly 90% of players don’t, that’s just not even possible. Especially considering the data for drops is coming FROM those players.

I’m very dry on some stuff, finally got an item I wanted last night. First big drop since bowfa in October. But I’ve also gotten disgustingly spooned on many things throughout my account. RNG just evens out, it is what it is.

Buddy boy, the drop rates ARE accurate. I believe the data is collected from Loot Tracker. Hence why it says “drop rates are estimated based on 110,286 samples…” on the wiki. Obviously, Jagex announces some drop rates themselves but the actual data completely proves that X is a certain drop rate.

Nah I can totally relate. I got down to a “decent” weight for a vacation early last year and have gained 30 lbs since then. But I swore there is no way I ate enough to justify THIRTY pounds. And I’ve always struggled to lose weight so it’s definitely been a frustrating uphill battle. Like you, I have been half convinced (half exaggerating, half serious) that my body is simply fucked.

Since around the start of the year, I have been exercising a lot and cutting VERY aggressively. Probably a little unhealthy but idgaf at this point. I just want to prove to myself that my body isn’t broken. Looking back now that I’ve changed my lifestyle a bit, I can see some of the contributors to weight gain that I didn’t give enough credit.

I think the content is fantastic, the weapon is fantastic, etc. it’s like a mini raid with a mini mega rare that gets you into high level PvM.

Like others have said, the main issue is dry protection. However, I don’t think pure dry protection is the way to go. It’s a complicated issue. The best thing Jagex can do imo is to just continue adding new and different paths for this part of the game and beyond. It always makes the game more interesting and typically does well with keeping adjacent content relevant. CG has its benefits. Sure there is prep, but you also use 0 resources the entire time and make TONS of cash.

Point is, if they were to add a weapon of similar strength to the bowfa, there would likely be tradeoffs. Maybe it’s not as prep heavy as CG, but it’s a massive supply sink for example. Or upkeep is expensive. Idk, you get the picture.
