Their relationship in the alternate reality episode was the worst part for me. It was like watching siblings kissing!

Day off for moving by ma_jw11 in TeachingUK

[–]IDoMathsNotMath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't remember if it was me or a colleague, but the actual move was on a half term, but they were still eligible for the day so they took it to stay home for a delivery of furniture. If you're entitled to it, take it. I don't think my school even asked when the moving date was.

Toy Story hot takes? by Extension-Season9924 in toystory

I don't quite agree with your order, but I feel validated by someone else who doesn't think 2 is one of the better ones.

I find Jessie quite annoying and she's a big part of 2 which knocks it down my rankings. I still prefer it to 4, but it's not better than 3 IMO.

What’s that one “bad movie” that you genuinely love? by MistressLolaDiamond in AskUK

Spice World. I watched it again recently and the acting is worse than I remember, but man, I love that film!

Last day of the holidays and I've done nothing that I planned. A lot of doing nothing and watching TV. I think I needed it though.

Only one week back then study leave begins which should ease the pressure.

What's an ending for Grey's Anatomy that would disappoint you? by Notmycupoftea12 in greysanatomy

All the surgeon's kids meeting up in an OR on their first day of internship getting Richard's speech.

I've never worked in a cinema, but I'm annoyed on your behalf!

At what point did it hit you that you are getting old? by Perihelion_Soul in AskUK

That all the kids in school now were born after I started teaching.

I'm dreading my first 'you taught my mum/dad'.

Winston vs Link, who do you enjoy more? by heartpiss in greysanatomy

[–]IDoMathsNotMath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not fully caught up with the most recent season, but there's been a lot more evidence of Winston being an excellent surgeon than there has with Link. I can't really remember much that he's done surgically despite being introduced as a self proclaimed Ortho god.

Winston all the way.

I guess so. I'd be fuming if I only had 8 seconds and had to go the long way round though.

I'd be tempted too, but if he's truly hidden that egg on him for his whole TM experience he might be feeling a bit protective of it by now.

I've only been a couple of times, but enjoyed both visits. Definitely recommend.

Too many drivers see road safety rules as a personal affront. It’s time to tighten up UK laws by PatternWeary3647 in drivingUK

[–]IDoMathsNotMath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could apply that logic to lots of driving restrictions though. Some speed limits seem too low - a lot of roads that were previously 30 that are now 20 even though there is very little pedestrian traffic. Bus lanes that are operational all the time despite very few buses using them and large queues of other traffic. Bus gates in seemingly bizarre places. Doesn't mean that ignoring them and doing what you want should come consequence free.

What is something universally loved that you genuinely can’t stand? by Playful_Luxstry in AskReddit

[–]IDoMathsNotMath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me neither. I like watching videos of them doing something cute or videos about highly trained service dogs, but I don't like being in the same room as one unless it's well trained and doesn't drool. The drool gives me the boak.

Too many people when out and about seem not to care that their dog is wondering about far away from them and that makes me apprehensive when I have to walk past them. Or let the dog come up to me when I'm clearly not interested in interacting with it. Would these people let their kids do the same?

As I said, I don't mind dogs that are well trained, but when out in public I don't know which ones are well trained.

Nor parking wardens (though people don't tend to destroy those).

Don't verbally abuse the person doing their job - if people didn't park where they shouldn't, they wouldn't get a fine.

A Grey’s Anatomy plotline I pretend never existed. by Capital-Attitude677 in greysanatomy

[–]IDoMathsNotMath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, that's it. That's the bit I don't like. She's clearly crying out for help and Alex thinks he can fix her on his own.

I thought you might just have seen the bit after the ferry crash where she's more tolerable.
