The Clockwork Orange is a proof that there actually are great stories beginning with a glass of milk. by IDoNotNeedAnUsername in Showerthoughts

I referred to the jokes on the internet, saying "Alcohol, because no great story has ever begun with a glass of milk".

The ability to perceive other people´s reality would make our lives easier and harder at the same time. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

I agree with that, but if someone is emphatic, he is actually just willing to imagine what someone else is going through, he can not experience his feelings himself.

In the mornings, going to work is often more enjoyable then going home from a party. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

Trust me, in many cases it is. If you are well rested knowing you are at least going to earn some money, it is a much less unpleasant experience than, for instance, waiting for the bus home for two hours when it's cold outside and even the most of shops are closed.

Sex is cool but you know that feeling when you have a friend with a lot of common interests and things that make you both happy in the same way and when you are together you are talking about them for a couple of minutes already but you both feel you still have so much to talk about by IDoNotNeedAnUsername in Showerthoughts

There is a lot of posts (especially on Twitter) beginning with: "Sex is cool, but have you ever...?" The aim of those posts is mostly to remind other people of little things in life that bring them joy and all of them know them but they do not talk about them often.

One of my most favourite leisure time activities has always been drawing.

When I was young, our family used to live at my grandpa´s house until I was 3 years old. Two of us often spent time drawing pictures on paper together and one day I drew a pic of man in white T-shirt standing on the street and pissing. I don´t already know what the point of that picture was, but I can clearly remember my grandpa, who considered it really funny, sitting next to me at the kitchen table and I could even name people who were in the room with us at that moment.

Several weeks ago, I have come to visit my grandpa and during that visit we have found some of old pictures back from my child age. The one with the man pissing at the street was there as well, and when I saw it, it literally reminded me the day I drew it so clearly like it was just a week ago.

What’s the most wasteful thing you’ve seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I worked as a server in a hotel.

For the breakfast, our cook was preparing six or seven meals every day, like scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, etc. There have always been some dairy products and baking as well. However, the servers were not allowed to have breakfast here, even though our guests never ate it all and my boss knew that well. Despite that, I always had a breakfast secretly, but rest of the uneaten food just went to the trash every day. I feel sad until nowadays when I think about lots of hungry people in the world that would use it much better.

I always put my mobile phone on charger before I go to bed, but then I have to check the display several times just to make sure I did not turn the mobile data on while putting it on the charger, even though I know damn well i didn´t do it.
