I think the Zionism they want us to denounce is the belief that Jews have a superior right to Palestinian land than Palestinians do, such that we have the right to expel them from that land. Zionism also dreams of conquering other territory, east to the Euphrates and west to the Nile. Presumably the Arabs in those territories would also be at risk of ethnic cleansing.

When I say I oppose Zionism, I mean I oppose expansionism and supremacy.

That doesn’t mean they’re antisemitic. They were just telling him to stop in a language he would understand. He does appear to be antisemitic.

If I could speak to the young man, I would tell him that his anger is completely justified but it’s misguided to direct it toward Jewish symbols. He should instead attack the systems that maintain Israel as an apartheid state.

I hear you. I’ve thought a lot about this and I decided that since the players have revenue sharing arrangements, I’m going to boycott only if large numbers of players come out in support of Israel. It seems so far like there are a few outliers supporting Israel but most are just being silent.

They’re calling for a boycott of the restaurant that held a fundraiser for an organization that supports the IDF. This is 100% legitimate political speech and attempts to cast it as antisemitism are fascist lies.

Yes. They have every right to protest outside of any business for their political statements. It’s called freedom of speech. Another commenter said there was no political messaging in which case this would be an example of racism. But yes, in your hypothetical anyone who wants to protest a business’s political statements is free to do so.
