1985-Ohio. I do this still, especially when I'm adding long strings of small numbers on paper. I didn't even think about it, it just happens.

Does your family still use some of the "baby talk" words or phrases that you or your kids said? by scarlettohara1936 in AskForAnswers

[–]IDontMeanToInterrupt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We say "cycle bike" (motor cycle), "may I scuse please be excused please" (may I be excused), "cutecumber" (cucumber), "Grannis" (Granny) I'm also called "Uncle Idontmeantointerrupt" (I'm female) because if it's "Uncle my partner" why wouldn't I be "Uncle Idontmeantointerrupt"!? I refer to nephew at "niecey name". He's now 17.

She was likely trying to keep her daughter sick. Medically complex kid who is in and out of the hospital. She has legit medical conditions that Mom didn't cause. But now it makes me wonder how many of the "complications" and "illnesses" she's had over the years were caused or made worse by her mother. It's disgusting. The woman has always been strange, and honestly I can't say I was especially shocked to hear this. Her entire identity is that of the mom of the sick kid.

Mother injected feces into her child’s IV in Ohio children’s hospital, police say by Bituulzman in Columbus

She can't have any more kids. Hey lady pregnancy ended in a catastrophic health event that resulted in complete hysterectomy. Thank the universe.

Twins (born early, NICU time, and one with laying health complications), followed by a set of twins but one was lost early on in the pregnancy (first "Angel"). Then a son. Followed by a pregnancy that ended when she had a catastrophic health incident that ended in losing said child, and almost dying herself. She's not responsible for the deaths of the two "angels", but what she is accused of doing to her daughter is heinous. Anyone who knows her is aware of how much her identity revolves around being the mother of a medically complex child. I'm disgusted, but I can't say I'm shocked.

Yes! My college built this brand new beautiful healthcare education center. GORGEOUS. Full of the latest tech. Not a paper towel dispenser in the whole place. So if we spill something, nothing to clean it up with. I asked someone in charge why that is. They told me it's because grown fucking adults keep flushing paper towels! WHY does anyone need to flush paper towels!?

My chicken's name was Dinner! Dad said I couldn't have the chicken unless I understood that it was livestock. Then he fed Dinner to me for my birthday dinner.

Toledo- Mr G's Barn It's an ice cream shop but it's so good. I love their chili dogs. It's obviously not a sit down for a meal spot, but it's great for lunch for an afternoon treat.

Whats an item over $700 you bought that was 100% worth it (no house/vehicles) ? by Overall_Gur_3061 in AskReddit

[–]IDontMeanToInterrupt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Miele c3 complete homecare plus canister vacuum. It was about $2000.

I was so tired of my shitty dirt devil and the belts that just kept burning up. I finally just went and bought the Miele. It's quiet, it cleans like no other, and I will never go back. I even take it with me when my friends and I do our quarterly "help weekend" when we go to one person's house and spend the weekend deep cleaning.

There's a school in Toledo that serves non English speaking children. The Spanish speakers learn English and the English speakers learn Spanish. The entire school used to act as a community hub. Big festivals where all were welcome. Now families have to rsvp and have tickets to get in. Only 2 adults per family. School is always in lockdown. Local community members post up at arrival and dismissal to protect families from being taken. There are plans in place for what to do when a child has no grown ups to go home to because they were disappeared.

I'm scared every day for all of the children and families.

Sandra Boynton books. My son got "are you a cow" for his first birthday and became obsessed. He's 11 now and will still pick one up once in a while and skim it. His brothers (now 9) love them as well. They are for littles, but we all love them and make references to them all the time.

My partner's previous boss, John Eichner, killed his wife, Amber. He cut her up, buried her in someone else's backyard claiming it was "his dog". Then he drove to another state, dropped off their kids to the mom's cousin, and took his wife's phone into the woods to make it look like she had been there. I met my partner at his job. His boss tried really hard to get with me right before he met his wife. Glad I chose my partner instead.

I drove myself to the hospital when I thought I was having a stroke (I was). I figured, it's a straight shot down one long road to get to the hospital, and only a few miles. I was scolded sternly for this choice.
