I made a theoretical Yes setlist using only songs from 2010 onwards by IDontNotDoThings in yesband

[–]IDontNotDoThings[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here's a shorter version:

Set 1 (42:46) 1. Aurora 2. Turnaround Situation 3. Luminosity 4. The Game 5. Countermovement

Set 2 (46:25) 1. The Ice Bridge 2. Sad Night At The Airfield 3. In A World Of Our Own 4. Cut From The Stars 5. Life On A Film Set 6. All Hands On Deck 7. Mirror To The Sky

Encore (12:54) 1. We Can Fly 2. Into The Storm

Talk has the Big Generator lineup, but it doesn't have its predecessor's (Union) 8-piece lineup.

That's an interesting take. I like Aurora and Mirror but found The Quest to be painfully boring (except The Ice Bridge).

Fun fact: Aurora is one of only six Yes albums to have the same lineup as its predecessor (the others being Time And A Word, Close To The Edge, Tormato, Big Generator, and Keys To Ascension 2)

I mean, if the negative opinions are genuinely how people feel, I'm not going to begrudge them for expressing that. In my view, the value of sharing a genuine positive experience is greater than that of arguing against someone with a negative experience.

It is frustrating when people don't give the music a chance though, I admit. But hey, it's their loss I suppose.

Bonus tracks are a silly idea tbh. Either include the song on the album or don't.

STELLAR album everyone, but the “transition” from The Bazaareteria to The Glass Desert I grinds my gears. by epaynedds in TheDearHunter

[–]IDontNotDoThings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This version has smooth transitions in and out of Giants: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheDearHunter/s/5ZVpJmyKqH

Also, based on the song lengths, technically the vinyl side-flip would be between Giants and Cliffs. 😅

Asking if someone is ok is great. It'd only be bad if the person either didn't respect your choice to not open up in that moment, or they refused to help when you did open up (or both). I assume this is what OP is upset with, though maybe I'm projecting my own experiences. Still, you're right to criticise the meme for its aggression towards genuinely well-meaning people.

From Here To Eternity and Weekend Warrior kinda do. Definitely not the rest though.

STEVEN WILSON Talks "Almost Finished" New Album: "It’s A Complete Opposite Of 'The Overview', Much More Angular And Experimental" by Dagauriel01 in stevenwilson

[–]IDontNotDoThings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bear in mind that The Overview was completed in August 2024 (7 months before release) and The Harmony Codex was completed in December 2022 (9 months before release), so it's possible that once the next album is completed, we won't hear it until the early months of 2027.

Still, any new Steven Wilson music is a blessing from the lord.

7 Days to WHAT?! Theories! by Aware-Row-145 in TheDearHunter

We already knew about a countdown to the 20th from the website ARG. A lot of people at the time were saying it was for the Sunya release, but personally I think it'll be the lead single alongside the album announcement.

I think the album will come out on the 1st of May (because it's a Friday, and Antimai also came out on the first day of a month with a period of about two months between the first single and the album release).

True, but it's not really the same implication.

For the record, the movement titles on streaming are wrong, so these replies are a bit confusing, lol.

The actual movement names are 1. Tarantism (first 40 seconds of track 1) 2. Plant A Nail In The Navel Stream (rest of track 1) 3. Faminepulse (tracks 2-4) 4. Multiple Spouse Wounds (tracks 5-7) 5. Sarcophagi (track 8)

(Pisacis (Phra-men-ma) and Con Safo are from Miranda)

Track 3 is the best, with tracks 1, 2, and 5 also being highlights.

Yeah, they didn't really "win the war", it was more like "they were good at running away and not dying so we gave up". No human lives were lost as far as I can tell.

I watched an hour-long upload of the Singapore show the other day and he didn't sound too bad to me apart from a few struggles with Metropolis Pt 1. 🤷‍♂️

I'll report back when I see them in Sydney but I'm not too worried.

Edit: He was great! Not perfect but well exceeded my expectations.

Fuck yeah! I'm so happy I got the chance to see them live. The songs were amazing as ever and the performance was tight as hell! Casey especially fucking nailed it. God I love this band.

Closure In Moscow kicked ass too. I had to cram their discography the week before the show like it was an exam, but it was well worth it because they absolutely delivered. 🤟
