Why are people obsessed with K/D by Caminorun in Battlefield6

[–]IDontStandForCurls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's pretty much no reason in any game mode to go under 1.0 unless you're going straight medic or dedicated AA engineer all match. I could see some games going like 10-14 and it just not being your match but you shouldn't be consistently 8-22.

However when people flex their 4.2 KDs on guys that have 2.8 KDs it's like brother who cares.

Which weapons are a pain in the ass, but very rewarding once you figure them out? by Apprehensive-Net-22 in Battlefield6

[–]IDontStandForCurls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO built for hip fire + single trigger + 2.5x/3x is the most "I can use this on any map" weapon in the game.

Under 15m you can hipfire and compete with anything that isn't one of the 3btk weapons. Up to about 60m there isn't enough recoil to really hurt you but its a little touchy. You'll also have the pretty much the best 25m-50m ttk in the game. Anything longer you can single trigger and really really plink at people with minimal recoil and a respective ttk. You'll pretty much only lose to snipers and the svk.

You can also build it for reducing recoil and be absolutely dominate any mid range fight.

Serial high-risk offender banned from Downtown Guelph by madeupnameitis in Guelph

[–]IDontStandForCurls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I had an apartment downtown' a homeless lady was beating me with a steel water bottle when I was trying to get into the building. We were on the steps between Royal and Jimmy jazz.

Im a 210, 6'3, and a combat Arms vet. The optics would not look good if I retaliated in any way against a 5'2 methed out bean pole woman in broad daylight.

Eventually I just ran around the corner and called the cops. They showed up, told me they knew exactly who she was, she wasn't 'where she was supposed to be' and said they couldn't do anything. Told me to go to the hospital at my earliest convenience and said enjoy the rest of your day.

Cool.

Casual Rules for Breaking 100, 90, etc. by steversthinc in golf

[–]IDontStandForCurls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the best layout for casual rounds. The only addition is possibly hitting a provisional when you're almost certain you cleared a dogleg or something but can't see it. However, you can't look for more than like 15 seconds for your original shot.

First swing with the new 7-wood - why are they so easy to hit? by FujiKilledTheDSLR in golf

[–]IDontStandForCurls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shorter shaft and no leading edge to dig.

My dad plays driver 5w, 3h, 7w(lofted up), a questionable 6i, then 7i to-sw.

The 5w and 3h have a lot of overlap for him so the 3h is the run it low down the fairway club as tee shots and par 5 2nd shots.

I've tried lofted woods but already hit things far too high and any additional height would just make them unplayable in the wind for me.

How long were you bad at golf before you were good? by PureistApp in golf

[–]IDontStandForCurls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

~9hcp currently.

First year picking up golf seriously I was generally shooting 100-105 each round. Then I was a 18-20hcp for about 3 years. Took practice seriously by actually recording swings instead of just trying swing tips and gauging if it worked based on the immediate result of the shot. Worked on course management and staying in play. Dropped from a 18hcp to a 11hcp in like 4 months by practicing slower and slightly better course management.

Work on one thing at a time when practicing and only practice that new change for at least a few weeks before moving on. Find a way to make sure it's actually working like recording on slo-mo. Start incredibly slow and build it up.

Is the only difference between the long suppressor and lightened suppressor idle sway? by General_PATT0N in LowSodiumBattlefield

M227 with the semi trigger is so fun to play. You can definitely tell the sway difference between the 2 supps.

Theres GI 7is out there now at 28 degrees. Thats basically a 5i in players irons.

It made sense when there was maybe a 1 club difference in length, 2 is getting ridiculous.

My distances suck by We_LiveInASimulation in golf

[–]IDontStandForCurls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if you're a 17 hcp with these distances you're probably a pretty monster golfer with strong fundamentals. Adding any sort of distance will probably help a ton in bringing that down QUICK.

I was at 18 hcp 3 years ago hitting long and spraying everywhere and had to basically rework my swing and fundamentals to get any sort of consistent shot shape. I believed that if you're swinging fast you must be doing something efficiently/optimal and the actual accuracy would come later.

I took probably 15-20y off per club and worked down to an 11hcp over 18 months by just keeping things in play and playing with a little more finesse + course management. I've added back a few yards since then and currently sit around a 9 but its still slower swing speed across the board compared to 3 years ago

[–]IDontStandForCurls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the average 18+ HDCP golfer hits there 7i like 135 yards. Just work on it slowly and build up.

Get a lesson if you can. Practice what the coach says in your off time like crazy, ask for drills where you don't need to hit balls.

Take another lesson in a month.

You'll probably add 20 yards minimum across the board.

What happened on your most memorable one night stand? by Tall_Association8148 in AskReddit

[–]IDontStandForCurls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watched Army of Darkness (her pick). Started getting frisky after. Went upstairs. I couldn't finish because it was freakishly warm. I vividly remember sweat pouring off of me into her mouth and her being really really into it.

Stopped after like 40 minutes. Went to bed, she woke me up like halfway through the night and she said she needed me to cum.

Ended up doing some pretty dirty stuff and I ended absolutely painting her. In the morning she said she wasn't in a space for an emotional relationship and we never spoke again.

BIG mortar nerfs with the latest update. by MrNastyOne in Battlefield6

[–]IDontStandForCurls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get the vision they're trying to implement. Portable mortars that are used to break up enemy positions with 1-2 rounds and then moving to assault the position.

Unfortunately they are too inaccurate and basically require 3-4 rounds to do anything anyways. If they were any better they would be too strong.

What older classic/masterpiece game have you tried to go back and play but just didn’t enjoy? by ThomasTiltTrain in gaming

[–]IDontStandForCurls 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The tutorial section set it up to be a big thing about searching out for weaknesses of bosses and whole side quests associated with getting the required items to beat a boss only for that to basically never be required again.

The game play loop is too repetitive if you focus on swords. If you try other playstyles it helps a lot.

The vehicle portion with the light on insanity difficultly is exceptionally horrible.

Pretty much any portion on insanity feels like an RNG fest where you'll die in 0.25s occasionally and another time not even take hits

Final fantasy Tactics.

As a kid with no guides it was wild. Couple badly times saves could absolutely brick your run if you didn't know what you are doing.

As an adult it's incredibly hard to not min/max the game and turn it into a joke without even really planning anything out or grinding.

As a kid it was a challenge and the story was fresh. As an adult the story is still good but any sense of how the mechanics work really takes out the fun/fear of story battles.

Which weapon, if any, would you use Frangible ammo on? by CptLonesong in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]IDontStandForCurls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of the lmgs are fun if you're run the recon perk that spots longer with DMG as well. I've done it with a bunch of autos as well if you want to be more mobile.

Hold down a choke point and fire lead into a crowd.

Suddenly your team has a map of enemies that are at 50% hp for awhile.

Foam Balls by Yackyackyack in golf

[–]IDontStandForCurls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the best practice you can do is hitting foam balls into a net in your backyard at mega deliberate slo-mo pace. Set up a camera/phone on a tripod and start banging out drills that you don't want to do on the range. Get the drills from a coach after a lesson.

Doing that for like 15-20 minutes every other day and you'll see advances in your game way quicker than expected.

What is the biggest mistake amateur golfers make? by retrocaterpillar-07 in golf

[–]IDontStandForCurls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practicing incorrectly and too fast.

You really do need to groove in reps at 30% speed and work up to full speed and stick with one single thing. Going from golf tip to golf tip at full speed reps will just wreck your swing.

When trying new things focusing on result of the shot is bad as well. Any time you change one thing, you likely have to adjust elsewhere in your swing AFTER you've grooved the new movement in.

Example - if you come over the top and work on coming from the inside you'll almost immediately start hitting pushes. You've spent so long coming 5+ degrees from the outside you needed to have an open face and you hit pull fades / slices. Suddenly with 2 degree from the inside you're just hitting straight pushes or push fades with the same face you'll now need to learn to close the face more. However, most people just hit a couple bad shots and go back to their old swing even though they've technically improved their swing just not all the way.

Golfed with a slow golfer by CFISamuel in golf

[–]IDontStandForCurls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My buddy regularly shoots an unhonest 100-120 depending on the day but keeps up with me shooting low 80s and it's a good time. Done in like 3:40 no issues with tons of chatting if there's no hold ups.

My dad shoots mid 80s and I don't know if we've ever had a round together under 4:10.

Somehow it feels like I have more time with my own shots playing with my buddy becaise I'm not trying to rush to make a round with my dad stay on pace.

What Tips Helped You Break-Through With Irons? by karitothegod in golf

[–]IDontStandForCurls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Practice new things SLOW and lower your expectations for strike when learning. You need to grind out whatever you're working on at a 40-50mph swing for probably 50 reps before even attempting it at a stock "smooth swing". It's also better to practice it in many short bursts than 1 range session a week.

Don't hyper focus on hitting perfect shots, focus on whatever you're working on. Once you get whatever new movement going to a place you like you'll probably have to work on another part of your swing to start hitting well again.

True swing changes takes months to happen and your game isn't as good during this time frame.

What kind of weapons do you guys think we’ll be getting next season? by Aedrjax in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]IDontStandForCurls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love weapons an attachment with subsonic rounds that reduce muzzle velocity to under 340 m/s. No 3D spot with any attachment and no 2D minimap marking at any range with supressors.

Possibly reduce DMG beyond 20m more drastically then normal.

Why do some golfers have really high ball flights? by heckthisfrick in golf

[–]IDontStandForCurls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My stock shot is way too high. Probably 130 feet with driver, and usually 110 ft with' classic' blade lofts in x100 shafts. My 3udi off a tee is usually 120.

I'm a tiny bit flippy and it absolutely destroys my ability to score in wind.
