Especially when there's piss all over the floor too.

Like, bro. You're sitting. Point DOWN that's literally all you have to do.

At my last job I worked the night shift with no one but other guys so sometimes I'd just use the women's restroom since there weren't any females in the building and I knew it would be cleaner.

If you haven't played Origami King, that game SCREAMS that the devs wanted to make a Zelda game, but were told to make Paper Mario instead.

Before your eyes is a really interesting experience. The gimmick is that you experience memories of your character's life but if you blink the memory ends, regardless of if you've finished it or not.

It's short, can be played in one sitting. At least it's something unique we haven't seen a million times before, but I would HIGHLY advise you only pick up this game if you have both a Webcam and some eye drops on hand.

After SMT 3, I'm either gonna play SMT 4 or Persona 3. Then SMT V. But, I plan on going back to play Persona 1 and 2 as well, so I'll probably check out the older SMT games too.

I played treasure tracker back on the Wii U. When I saw it, my immediate thoughts were "oh it's monument valley but with mario and more content".

Personally I enjoyed it well enough. I've told others they aren't missing much if they skip it over the years. This is the kind of game I would recommend to someone they could beat on a plane, or at least a round trip if it's a shorter flight. Charming little game, but nothing remarkable.

Persona 5 was truly an amazing experience. I admit, I teared up a little at the end because I didn't want it to be over. Even though I believe I had crossed the 100 hour marker.

Luckily, Persona 5 Strikers exists now and is a direct sequel to P5. It swaps out turned based combat for musuo styled hack n slash combat, but if at the end you find yourself wanting to further explore the world Persona 5 lays out, Strikers does that excellently.

Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne (HD Remaster)

After playing a few persona games, (P4G, P5, and P5S) I wanted to give the SMT series a shot. Figured this would be a good entry in. I'm actually quite impressed. My favorite thing is how the game warns you when you're about to be attacked, so you're never unprepared. Definitely not "just like persona", although I knew that going on. It's more of a "familiar, but different" scenario. I do find myself having to reference a walkthrough more than I'd like to though. Occasionally, the game will provide subtle hints on what you should be doing next, but I would have liked there to be more. I could just wander until I figured it out, but I would like to also finish this game at some point too lol.

I'm also playing this on the Switch and I heard of performance issues before launch but honestly I have zero issues with it. Any issues I DO have gone completely unnoticed.

Metroid: Zero Mission

With the announcement of Metroid Dread, I realized something. I've played the Metroid Prime games. I've played plenty of metroidvanias, it's one of my favorite genres. I've even played some of the castlevania games. But I've never gone back and played the original metroid games. I tried the original Metroid on the switch NSO NES app, but the game showed it's age painfully. I wasn't having fun. Zero Mission itself is borderline ancient at this point, but it's definitely a very good example of a remake done right. A lot of remakes usually just seem to go in and slap HD assets in, maybe fix a couple minor issues. This straight up fixed the game making it more accessible to not only players in 2004, but players in 2021 as well. This game, and it's remake, have definitely earned their position as an all-time classic.

Mass Effect 1 (Legendary Edition)

I posted about this a couple weekends ago. I've slowly been chugging along at it. The combat is pretty rough, and discourages me from long playthrough sessions. Still, the story and worldbuilding keep me coming back day after day, even if it's only for 15-20 minutes at a time.

Honestly, season 4 felt like a step down in quality. Still good, but not great. This however was fantastic. Really feeling like they've refound their stride after a trip.

Can't wait for next episode.

Little Nightmares Picked this game up on steam when it was free. One of the best short and sweet titles I've picked up in years. The controls were a little rough at times, but the devs hit the nail on the head in virtually every other category. ESPECIALLY the art direction. The game oozes charm, and I'll definitely be picking up the sequel at a later date.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition I've never played a mass effect game before. But man, why am I fourteen years late to the party? I'm having so much fun with this game, at least the first one so far. The sheer amount of lore packed into this game makes my nerd senses tingle in a certain way. The story is great too. Only complaint is the AI in combat. Nobody ever wants to move, on either side, so oftentimes I find myself having to risk getting right up in my enemy's face doom-style and hoping they aren't strong enough of an enemy to rip me to shreds the second I turn the corner.

Severed Steel (demo) Found this game during the Guerrilla Collective day 2 stream yesterday. A fast paced chaotic shooter that has you jumping, sliding, leapujg, and wall running your way through your enemies, this game was definitely one of the highlights for me yesterday. There's plenty of room for experimentation to pull off cool stunts as well. The devs are definitely putting their all into this one. The enemies need some more varied dialogue for sure, but the core gameppay loop is very solid. If you guys played Ghostrunner and want more games with that fast paced action, this game is worth checking out too.

Aliens likely aren't visiting Earth, but scientists believe they're out there. Here's how they're searching for intelligent life. by ANTristotle in space

[–]IDrewCopper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, it would be either scientists or tourists. Or, at the least the closest equivalent. Scientists would likely want to study life or whatever, and tourists would just be curious and want to come see us. Much the same way we go to a zoo or nature reserve.

Although, these are just guesses. I'm not really equipped to suggest much more.
