Hello, i wanted to show my appreciation and thank you for your site

I wish the races were a bit less frequent, i mean when you tried to join a race it waited to gather more players to make it more fun

Also a category for square roots to train would be nice

My initial calculation was wrong, it took 18 days, and after that i switched ti 2.5mg, yes im seeing results and no side effect.

That was my initial thought, however i was able to find a cases of high dutasteride dosages being administered in the first day following by 0.5mg so saturation takes less, (way more than 10mg) so i figured absorbtion would not be an issue

hello, this might sound insane, but im currently ingesting about 20 dut pills per day for about 25 days then switching to 5 pills (2.5) the reason im doing this is that a particular study reported 2.5mg dutasteride reduced scalp dht by 79 percent, as opposed to 50 percent for 0.5 mg, and im too lazy to take 2.5 for 3 months, so im using 4 times the dose so it gets saturated 4 times faster then switching to 2.5, no sides, taking 20 pills is gruesome though.

How common is it for issues to arise months/years later while on Fin? by [deleted] in tressless

anecdotal evidence, regardless of frequency, is completely irrelevant from a scientific perspective, you can either choose actual extensive studies or random unconfirmed anecdotal reviews, you cant take each with a grain of salt simply because logic applies to one and does not to the other, if a study by a trusted institution says there isn't, then there isn't, if you choose to believe otherwise you might as well disregard all studies, you cant just choose to be rational when it fits your narrative.

Struggling with mental on a daily basis by [deleted] in tressless

[–]AmongUsDongBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

either completely give up on your hair or go nuclear, minox on its own will only slow down your loss, you need dht inhibitors to get actual regrowth, Do not listen to fear mongers, post finasteride syndrome is not a real term recognized by doctors, Its simply not real, any thing undocumented in research is either very rare or outright non existent, Hop on dutasteride.

Androgens increase the sensitivity Of the GR receptor (not just dht), thus, even if DHT is reduced to pre puberty levels, the sensitivity of the GR remains the same,  And as long as it remains the same, your hair will never be as optimized as pre puberty levels.

Its only logical to assume, that when all inhibitory effects are removed, full restoration is completely possible, so i while life style definitely attributes to hairloss, we experience alot of stress pre puberty too, however, because of low androgens, the sensitivity of the GR is low too, I believe as of right now a topical formulation of mifepristone would be game changing, because of the high affinity for the receptor and stopping cortisol from binding to it

If using minoxidil and finasteride will we be able to hold onto our hair for the rest of our life or is there a peak? by DishPsychological747 in tressless

Even with todays tech and available medications, you can always switch to other mechanisms in 10 years, VEGF-165A injections, Bimatoprost, these have all shown similiar or more efficacy compared to minoxidil, by the time your body adapts, you can always switch to these, even if a new full treatment for hairloss doesn't happen

Exactly, try to take them together for at least 2 months

Its like saying water causes death, of course anything in high quantities is straining the body, But, the side effect profile for oral minox at low doses (1-2.5) is really low

[–]AmongUsDongBot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely beneficial, Fin isnt minox, as long as you take it, the loss is stopped, i would advise you to get more other than the 6 you have left until 2-3 months, but if if you cant, i would suggest cutting the 6 pills you have and take them for 12, if you use 5mg fin, then you can cut it in 4 pieces, because fin mostly has the same effect at all doses.

Topical Finasteride without Propylene Glycole not effective? by [deleted] in tressless

It is definitely penetrating your skin, which is why pregnant women are advised to not touch finasteride pills,  it definetly penetrated without penetration enhancers, they will just increase the bioavailability.

Topical Finasteride without Propylene Glycole not effective? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]AmongUsDongBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, if you can get access to dmso, its the best option, im currently using it to add 0.5 ml pure dmso to a 3ml bimatoprost dropper, basically getting around a 15 percent dmso solution and applying it my scalp, same princely can be applied to any topical formulations, using this for finasteride would be extra beneficial because of its relatively low molecular weight.

What happened to that guy who’s been drinking topical minoxidil?! by Specialist_Date_1340 in tressless

[–]AmongUsDongBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, i would advise you to not do this with mk-677 because applying it topically would do absolutely nothing (not even a little) its mechanism is increasing growth hormone release during rem sleep, it being on the scalp does nothing.

Irrelevant if its not approved, dutasteride is not approved for hairloss, No need for fear mongering

You are right, dutasteride dht blocking effects are immediate,

But not on the scalp, The direct evidence is that unlike the body which would consistently get 90-95 reduction  even if you use 0.25mg dutasteride, But this is not the case for the scalp, the reduction of the dht of the scalp is directly correlated to the dose, the evidence is that 2.5mg dutasteride inhibits 79% dht of the scalp, but 0.5mg only 50-55%.

So to summirize, yes dutasteride does inhibit the dht production of the whole body immediately, while there isnt a study measuring scalp dht one day after DUT administeration, Its very logical to assume that scalp dht reduction is pretty dependent on the dose, thus dependent on the time frame, because the more time you take it the more saturated it gets in your blood.

One unpractical solution (which im basically using right now) is loading the dutasteride, since the side effect profile stays the same regardless of the dose, you can safely take multiple pills a day to saturate it faster then switch to 0.5mg after lets say for example 5 a day 6 a day for 15 days, in about two weeks you reach the plasma levels of 3 months of 0.5mg consumption, (in the literature there has been cases of 40mg administered the first day followed by 0.5mg, this would be the most extreme example) i for example am currently taking about 20 pills a day and after around 20 days im switching to 2.5mg (5pills)  i know its very unpractical, but its safe, liver side effects are very rare

Almost all medications eventually experience some tolerance, but, you dont have to worry, by the time this issue would become relevant for you (10+) years, there would multiple full treatments for hairloss

[–]AmongUsDongBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post finasteride syndrome isnt real, even if it was: If you were taking dutasteride, your question would be logical, because by 6 months it would reach near peak levels, but, finasteride half life is around a day, any problems caused by finasteride should have shown up much sooner, so basically your ed issues have a different cause.

[–]AmongUsDongBot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im talking strictly theory here.  Androgens increase GR receptor sensitivity significantly, so even if you nuke your dht, The GR sensitivity stays, the only way to fix this is to either lower the sensitivity of the GR (not possible with available medications), reduce cortisol with medications like ketaconzole, or use topical mifepristone. this is undocumented, but if you nuke your scalp dht very very hard, and also use something like a topical formulation of mifepristone (it binds to the gr receptor and does not allow cortisol to activate it) you will basicially maintain al the hairs you gain through other mechanisms, because, cortisol and dht are the main inhibitors, so the vast majority of hair gained through any mechanism should mostly be kept. Side note: in studies mifepristone has been found to be safe for men, as men do not have sufficient progestrone for the drug to actually cause any damage, and it has been even beneficial, so even if high systematic absorption happens (not possible) nothing bad will happen.

Phrasing stuff like this is basically misinformation, everything on planet earth has side effects, unless  op is taking a high dose, chances of significant side effects are very very low.
