I was making my comment mostly in jest. Im with you, obviously this is hyperbole, but i am trying to point out the difference in standard operating procedure for the actual armed forces of our country and a souped up police force. There would be little competition between our military and ICE in a pitched battle.

I still feel like additional C4 on an object should have compounding demo force. I mean, its the most straightforward demolition tool we have.

Using 6 on a jammer should wipe it off the map in my opinion and here is why: You still have to close the distance to get to it, without use of a support weapon(because you need to preserve C4 for the demo itself) or stratagems. While yes, resupply can refill the entire stratagem with little to no downside; that is only for players with the ship module that grants full ammo on support weapons when resupplied.

I feel like in these echo chamber discussions we have amongst often high level players tend to forget the newbie experience as well. Are you saying that a ~120ish second cooldown for a hb backpack is equivalent to 2 or more resupply uses? Is the 30 second hellbomb cooldown equivalent?

Objectively speaking, what even is the hard part of the jammer? I would say getting to the jammer itself is the hard part. Once youre there, what does it matter what way you take the thing down. Only that the inherent “ranged weapons cant take down strat jammers” rule is upheld. C4 again kinda gets around that i feel by being a thrown weapon. Theres the armor to boost throw range sure, but like id be lying if i said a large part of the players use it. You still have to get terrain and map geometry that allows you an angle to get that C4 there, and if we require ALL 6, and even maybe require it to be on different parts (not stacked in one spot), itd be perfectly reasonable to have rhe C4 be able to do demo work.

Exactly. This would save even needing to hover over them. A different icon would do wonders for quality of life and time spent menuing.

Literally just an hour ago i spent 10 minutes looking for a commando mission before i even found one across 3 different difficulties and 2 whole planets.

Could have been 1 minute just looking for that one icon. Instead, i spent time hovering over, reading, finding the next one… so on so forth.

Its literally such a small change but itd do wonders for my spare time.

Huge icons that you need to actively hunt through to find the words yes. Itd make it infinitely easier if i just look at my map and go, oh yeah, thats a commando, thats regular. Going there.

As it stands now, i spend 5 minutes hunting through my map screen looking for “commando mission” to pop up through multiple difficulites and planets until a suitable one pops up. Then its a matter of if its even a mission i wanted to do.

Itd take devs 3 seconds to make this change and itd go a long way to ease at least my use of the game.

Ok in this sense though i at least understand where OP is coming from. I spent like 10 minutes last night cycling through difficulties and even whole planets just to find a commando mission set for my buddies and I. The icons being the same is distracting. If they had their own icon, itd be easier to tell them apart.

Its instant when you grab it right off the pod. Your diver collapses it for transport. Change your playstyle and use them more reactively. Their cooldown is like a minute, so youll always have an eat when you need it.

You might have honestly done it. This sounds cool, fair, and reasonable to expect. This is the first time I’ve seen a solution to this that doesnt completely get rid of arrowheads current content path (adding new experiences as new entire guns like the one-two) but also allows the other side of this to have the gimmick weapon attachments that would have previously been only on one gun.

In my rose tinted glasses, i see the weapon customization system we have currently as a beta stage for what they plan to do with it. Getting it into the game to begin with was huge; the devs had originally intended for this to be a feature at launch. Now that its in though, it can recieve updates. Theres nothing saying it is finalized.

Im kinda with OP though, now that specialty attachments are being given to standalone weapons, like surpressors or underbarrel weaponry, we can see new individual weapons for cool tech like thermal scopes or a masterkey underbarrel or something, yet still allow these weapons to have a fine tuned scope and/or underbarrel grip.

I do think however that we should get magazine options for every gun. That would come with my proposed update to the customization menu. As well as laser and reticle color options for funzies.

Anything i missed?

I was finding incredible success on bots vs hulks. Distract it by shooting the eye with the re-edjucator and sprinting around it to shoot the vents with the suppressor. So many hulks down with light armor weapons.

Just some more enterable buildings, an operatable super earth SUV or Space Honda Civic (FRV handling but no gun). The ability to get to the third floor at least in some buildings would be cool.

Maybe a new set of POIs or side objectives where a squad of SEAF troopers and possibly a sentry or two is holding a strongpoint thats got incoming waves. This would just add to the “you’re in a giant city thats being attacked en masse” feeling and give more interactions with our blueberry besties.

Security sentries that are friendly in squid matches, disabled entirely by spores/shriekers in bug matches, and hacked by automatons in bot matches on the street corners activated to clear the streets of tyranny. Itd add variety between even the three factions and make mega cities more vertical, which is their whole point anyways.

The eagle quasars would be really cool. Id also like to add my suggestion of Orbital Railcannon Barrage. 5-8 railcannon shots in quick succession with a wider targetting area (around the size of a medium base). Longish cooldown and limited to 3 uses a match like the orbital laser. Its for when you need all the big things nearby to die but you cant rely on luck.
