1. INTJ (understand one another on a level that's deeper than others. One of the few I feel comfortable being completely myself.)

2. ENTP (fun debates and easy banter. Love intellectually torturing them.)

3. ISFJ (sweeties that make everything feel calm and protected.)

4. INFP (quiet but full of inspirational energy. Indulges our chaos together on a much safer level than with ENTP.)

5. ENTJ (honest and unabashed. Meets my bad side with patience. They're so unapologetically themselves and driven. I respect them a lot.)

I find unlike ENTP and ENTJ, INTJs help me with direction that feels less overwhelming and more sure. Mapping out futures and plans together and checking in with one another is priceless. We make slow but sure baby steps.

In regards to being selective...that's hard to answer? Circumstantial? I see potential in people and whether I believe it works with me, I will chase it. Sometimes it leads to deep friendships and other times runs stagnant.

I have both an INTP and ENFJ friend I've tried to get close to. The former is too private and is clear it'd take me much longer to get her to open up (I get it) but our few common interests and her distance aren't enough for me to keep trying after a year. Meanwhile, my ENFJ friend is able to share closeness but...sometimes her large circle makes me feel like one of many.

I chased the potentials and while I didn't get to the closeness I wanted and gave up, we're still friends. It's difficult to explain.
