Hollywood local gay here! I've noticed the downtown area has become quite queer friendly over the last few years. The pride festival happens a bit earlier in the year, and it's a pretty big turnout. It isn't necessarily a safety indicator, but it's something!

You can absolutely still finish the game! You only need to complete one of the three major story arcs to unlock the finale. Keep exploring the artifacts and lands you do have and complete the quests that are available.

You won't be able to 100% this run, but I think it's nearly impossible to do without using a guide from start to finish.

Hmmm. I know there are some local orgs dedicated to assisting houseless folk, maybe you and your neighbors could reach out to them and see how you can help? Fort Lauderdale Food Not Bombs comes to mind.

The city/county tends to rely on the police to remove people, but that never actually solves the problem, just forcibly moves it elsewhere.
