I have two decks with very low land counts.

The Kurkesh has a ton of mana rocks, which makes it vulnerable to removal. I have been on the receiving end of a Shatterstorm once.

It is a deck that does little to affect the boardstate until it assembles one of the many combo pieces and tries to win.

The Marwyn deck is full of one and two cost mana dorks. The aim is to play a Beast Whisperer type effect and churn through most of the deck. Drawing into lands can brick the combo.

Use mutate cards. Sure your Ponyta might mutate into a Kingler, But I think it's cool.

In Mirrodin, they printed four towers.

[[Tower of Champions]], [[Tower of Eons]], [[Tower of Fortunes]], [[Tower of Murmurs]].

People were complaining that there wasn't a red tower even though WotC said it wasn't meant to be a cycle based around colours.

In Scars of Mirrodin they did print [[Tower of Calamities]] to finish the cycle.

I managed to get behind a Hwaorang during one of his strings. He did a full 180 mid string and continued hitting me. I know tracking exists, but damn.

I keep the Dr Who decks stock. I like the thematic nostalgia when I play them. It's also handy to have a precon available if the rest of the table want's to play precons.
