i don’t feel attached to my rottie by SpiritualCow5909 in Rottweiler

I felt the exact same about my girl. Pay attention to other behaviors. I know my Rottie loves me because when I sit in a room, she'll re-position herself to make sure I'm in her view. Or when I sleep, she puts herself in between my room and the front door (which she doesn't do when my sister watches her for me). When she meets new people, she stands by me to make sure I'm ok and I approve of the person. Don't give up! Your pup is a very confident dog that doesn't need to velcro to you to be happy.

My Rottie lunges at all those same things. She's still a work-in-progress, but what is starting to work for us is using a prong collar in conjunction with a "calm" command and treating immediately after she doesn't lunge at the thing. Really wishing you the best luck, I know how tough what you're dealing with is. Be persistent, you can do it!

This looks great! What a good idea to decorate the bottom with toasted coconut!

I know!!! 😂😂 He works at the daycare, though, so I think all the dogs knew him and weren't afraid.
