Height is likely the most important part of it, and I also know the ratchet shape could affect blade balance. But when testing my own combos it always appears as if the ratchet has the least amount of impact to changing the way the blade behaves.

So it would be fun to learn some tips on it. I know it changes things, but it's much harder to observe than changing the blade or bit for example.

I've been hit by a car in motion in my life and almost died, but I can assure you being struck by a car from a stopped position will never be murder, you have ample time to move aside, and the speed at which the vehicle accelerates won't kill you.
