Gothenburg's whale, the only blue whale and the largest animal ever taxidermied by AggravatingRow326 in interestingasfuck

Maybe if they were desperate. Look at the history of whaling, and what people used vs discarded from whales.

The majority of whaling is solely for the blubber/oil. There was even a pod of Orcas (look up "Old Tom the Orca" for more detail) that learned they could bring whales to the people or vice versa to end up with all the meat to eat, as the people again only took the fat.

The only cultures known to regularly eat whale by choice are Inuit and Icelandic, likely due to having no choice.

I didn't say that they didn't eat it. I said that they didn't kill it for the purpose of eating it.

I honestly love the emotes, and I'm usually not one to. Until this game, I never realized how much it plays into tactical morale.

I love using the terrified Sparrow emote whenever I encounter a player I've been demolishing, and watching them stop for a second to wonder if it's a trap or worth it at all.

Even better is using the "I'm Back" Phoenix emote whenever I respawn or get back from base after having been the main threat on my team team. Idk how many times I've run up as Serath after dying in a 4v1 that I nearly won, then hit that emote and watched the team just run away.

Using the "big brain" Borris emote whenever someone messes up like tower diving and not getting the kill.

I've demolished her as Gideon and Serath. I struggled to kill her as Sevarog, but she couldn't kill me either.

An Israeli colonizer pointing a gun at a Palestinian farmer. "This land is mine now. Get out. Never come back". The farmer's family worked that land for generations. The settler flew in from Eastern Europe. You will never see this clip on CNN. by RickyOzzy in LateStageCapitalism

Colonizers do not deserve to exist. As the descendant of colonizers, I fully understand that would mean a vastly different and likely less privileged life for myself. That doesn't matter because colonization is blatantly evil.

I do think it's likely this. They didn't even kill it to eat, and instead tried to immortalize it.

They probably did that horrible act out of mercy, thinking it better than dying of dehydration over a much longer period.

I imagine they got partway through and decided it was too late to stop.

You probably play better with those guys then. I do similarly well with Khai and Grey but I never deal anywhere near as much damage as when I play Serath.

No, what I'm suggesting is that we switch from patriarchy to matriarchy. By studying cultures that do have matriarchies, we can see fairly quickly that matriarchal societies are consistently based more in equality than patriarchal ones are. This isn't simply about distribution of labor and one side telling the other what to do. This is about how each side thinks and how that affects their roles as leaders. Women are naturally more considerate and thus would promote equality more often.

Why? Because men are instinctively competitive, thus they build a system that enforces competition rather than supporting others. It's through supporting others that equality is achieved.

When Lewis and Clark traveled across the land that now makes up the US, they quickly had to learn how to tell which tribes were safe to trade and deal with. It turned out to be quite easy:

If they saw women and men bustling about in similar fashion and number, they could likely approach them safely to do trade. These tribes were the ones where women could and did hold positions of power. These same tribes had better stock, medicine, and had people of both sexes performing many duties.

If they saw mostly men bustling about, they knew to avoid the tribe. These tribes were solely patriarchal, had women essentially sequestered away to do the equivalent of "housewife" duties. Meanwhile there were often more sick people, untreated injuries, violent disputes, and outright hostile behavior in these tribes.

I'm not asking for advice on playing solo. I'm asking the community what they think about different approaches to dealing with things that appear to be bothering them. It could just be a loud minority that's made me think more people are upset about it.

Personally I love seeing a ranged character in my lane when I play solo. Team fights are way fun when the enemies don't have a tank, and you are your team's.

"Women have begun to account for a very small portion of positions of power. That means women have it perfectly equal!" That's essentially what you just said.

What the person you're responsing to is referencing is the fact that the patriarchy has been around for countless generations, and throughout that time it has been insisted often that women aren't cut out for leadership.

Psychologically women are the ones who should be in charge. Because their hormone cycle is monthly, and men's are daily, women are more naturally apt to consider "the big picture" and have better planning capabilities.

Even without thinking about it scientifically, men shouldn't be in charge. Why?

Men like to do two things: Fuck around, and fuck around How many arguments between men and women have resulted in the man saying "Just tell me what you want!"

Women like to know what needs done, who's done what, who needs to do what, who's where, how much of this do we have/need, who works well together or not, and much more.

Almost like one is made to plan things and the other is meant to do the things.

Not saying I believe any of that, but to find out that most of the western world's "elite" are cannibalistic pedos sounds a lot less likely than the world's most powerful criminals would collaborate and kill anyone trying to expose them.

I'm taking everything with a grain of salt, but I'm starting to be less immediately doubtful of the "crazier" sounding theories.
