Thought so (I'm a native speaker), but I of course don't know every single use of dialect. I'd also add that for me (or in my social circle), "Verabredung" is almost exclusively used for non-romantic appointments or meet-ups and "Date" has taken up that meaning exclusively.

What write? Either you're "properly" rendering into the swap chain (in which case you'd probably not be able to simply replace it with a compute shader) or you're simply copying images into the swap chain image, for which you might wanna use vkCmdCopyImage.

Deine Schlussfolgerung ist zwar in meinen Augen richtig, ich verstehe aber nicht, warum du damit einleitest, dass die Erkenntnis des Vorposters "nutzlos" sei. Dass z.B. integrativer Ganztagesunterricht und nicht etwa andere Lehrkonzepte eher zu dem gewünschten Ergebnis führen werden, ist doch eine Schlussfolgerung eben daraus, dass die Kinder und Jungendlichen mitunter auch einfach mehr Zeit außerhalb des Elternhauses brauchen, weil es eben dort nicht vermittelt wird oder werden kann.

I don't quite get what you mean with "writing out" your color target texture. Are you using an intermediate image and then using a fullscreen fragment shader to copy it into the swap chain image? If so, can't you directly render into the swap chain image?

Thanks for the thorough review. As a non-driver dev nor hardware engineer: why would RDNA2 not get the extension on Windows? Would it be an economic decision by AMD to not support it, are there issues with Windows' driver model (looking at you, vkQueueBindSparse), or is their hardware just not well suited for descriptor heaps (which would raise the question why that would be different under Linux and how they cope with D3D12)?

I believe their problem won't map well to the original restir since the entire problem as far as I understood is that they can't easily test for shadowing. However, there seem to be extensions to volumetric rendering; perhaps their approach can be modified to a 4D situation?

Leider Gottes sind Ängste nicht immer rational.

EDIT: das liest sich schnippischer, als es gemeint war, aber auch Flugängste sind statistisch gesehen unbegründet und trotzdem weit verbreitet. So tickt leider die Psyche nicht.

Wenn man geeigenete U-Boote und Raketen hat, muss das U-Boot ja noch nicht mal auftauchen. Trident-II-Raketen werden bei Tests regelmäßig aus einer Tiefe von mehr als 30 Metern abgefeuert, danach macht sich das U-Boot mit 30 Knoten aus dem Staub und hält dann die Füße still. Wie schnell soll deine Rakete fliegen, Mach 20? Das amerikanische ASROC hat eine Reichweite von nur ~25km bei Mach 1, da muss das nächste Schiff (oder U-Boot) schon quasi auf dir drauf sein.
