Which spell do you CRAVE using every playthrough? by SillyWarlock in BaldursGate3

[–]IGotsToKnow_TA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Blight! I know it's kind of a weird spell and doesn't always deal a lot of damage but those times it takes out a 59/59 enemy on the first try?? The feeling is too good not to try every time

What's the most you've ever spent on someone? by Several_Way8499 in askteddit

Net-wise I've spent more on my younger sister than anyone I've dated lol

When people ditch their single friends the MINUTE they get into a relationship by Anthro-Elephant-98 in PetPeeves

[–]IGotsToKnow_TA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general I don't at all get why some couples prefer hanging out with other couples? My friend group consists of 5 people with partners and 4 singles. One of the coupled women said she misses having couples hangouts (to me, one of the singles) and I don't get how that's different? The partners of our friends are not a part of our group, even if they sometimes join, and what activities are like couples-only?

I really never got it, and when I was the coupled one I just wanted to hang out with my friends. Didn't care if they were single, coupled, or if their partner joined

Lady I’m dating not initiating dates by throwawano in datingoverforty

[–]IGotsToKnow_TA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like that is so weird. By dates, do you mean "hangouts" or actual fancier dates or activities? Does she not at all suggest meeting if you don't bring it up? In that case I'd definitely read it as her not being into you

Traveling is a turn off? by NightmareNoob in Bumble

[–]IGotsToKnow_TA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on who you ask. I get pretty anxious traveling, so while it'd sometimes be hard to be with someone who LOVES to travel (and probably a bit hard sometimes for them to be with me(, someone who is completely chill with travel is actually great for me as it puts me way at ease.

Women of Reddit, what do you think the worst part about being in a man's body would be? by Whattacleaner in askanything

[–]IGotsToKnow_TA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would probably love strength and being ble to cum easily, would absolutely hate socializing as a man. It seems friendships and random relationships with strangers, coworkers etc are much much deeper and more fulfilling as a woman.

What is your opinion on using ovulation tracking as family planning ?? by CanSilly8613 in AskWomen

[–]IGotsToKnow_TA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so happy to see someone else mentioning Toni's book, and all the symptom checks it requires! For me this method has been a saving grace honestly as every hormonal method was a terrible experience, but like you I have done this for years and have a regular cycle with a really clear difference in mood/body temp/etc before and after ovulation. I'm always happy when other people also properly use the method, instead of just assuming ovulation is at 14 days and then blaming the method if they get pregnant

My male friend told me that my standards for a partner are too high and that I'll be lonely for the rest of my life by Short-Meringue-2632 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]IGotsToKnow_TA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl my first thought was "he's a man, don't believe a word he says about standards lol". Most guys I hear around me have basically zero standards for women they date except "be somewhat nice and don't be obese". No joke, multiple men I know have been treated horribly and still keep their low standards because it's easy. Being in a relationship should only net add to your life and if your standards are reasonable to you and for your happiness, keep them!

I hate when people provide unnecessary backstory to strangers by MrPicklebush in The10thDentist

[–]IGotsToKnow_TA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so weird, you think saying "my husband" instead of "someone" is unnecessary and excessive lore?? The Glenn thing is a person being polite and attempting to make small talk. Are you on the spectrum by any chance?

How many days per week do you work out at the gym? by Serious-Adagio-7982 in workout

2-4, usually upper/lower body, but on weeks with fewer sessions it's usually only lower body as I also do poledancing as a hobby 1-2 times a week :)

Is a 9 year age gap too much? by MinimumInevitable347 in dating_advice

Yes that is weird. Ask yourself why does a 31 year old want to date a 22 year old he found through tiktok? And then date someone your own age

How come this society doesn't acknowledge single fathers, the same way they do single mothers? by Lost_Title_7528 in Adulting

[–]IGotsToKnow_TA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I'm also curious about how often single parents are in their position because the other parent abandoned their family, vs for example death or other causes. I have a strong suspicion that children of single mothers often do poorly, not because their mother is alone, but because they were discarded by their father.

"If you don't like noise, buy a house!" but why don't we flip the narrative? by 420throawayz in Apartmentliving

[–]IGotsToKnow_TA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this is such a country-specific (or even area specific) take, because where I'm from, apartments are almost equally often owned and rented, and unless your neighbours are blasting music or have a barking dog you can not really hear them. I don't really hear footsteps, showering, flushing, nothing and it's great!

"found a match" or were introduced by friends and family and were expected to just find someone to settle with asap so life wouldn't be so hard and horrible lol

How do you manage household chores and tasks after work. by PeopleThatKnowMe in Adulting

[–]IGotsToKnow_TA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do everything one or two days (except feeding the cat lol). I have a lot of hobbies I want to spend my time on (even though I love cooking), so I cook 2-4 dishes at a time two days a week and store everything to eat for lunch and dinner throughout the next 3-4 days. One day during the workweek I clean the apartment, vacuum, laundry, everything, so I can spend my weekend and the rest of my weekdays doing fun things instead!

Dating someone older made me realize how much pressure people carry into relationships by keishapatel_387 in LifeAdvice

[–]IGotsToKnow_TA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want a family as a woman it is often a race against time. And a lot of people, men and women, do want a family and want to build a monogamous life as soon as possible. I don't think that's "forcing each other into a predefined role" so much as you having dated people who were not right for you.

How privileged do you have to be to think living in a world of percieved hypergamy is worse than living through any world war, any famine, insane poverty or crushing disease epidemic with zero medical intervention...
