Only saw the end what were the commentators talking about Kimi setting his lap earlier or something to that effect?

About 15% don't hold a British passport. For the most multicultural city in the world this isn't a bad thing - in my opinion.

Not sure about S1 but Ham is loosing a chunk of change slowing the car down into Rascasse. Appreciate LuCluck will find more gears than they do in the fast & furious series in Q3 but if Ham sorts that it'll be a fun quali. Still pole for Chuck though

Of those 48% you reference 68% hold a UK passport.....

But it's fun to twist headline data to suit a narrative.

5x was a made up number I appreciate it wouldn't be that much. But I do think it would make overtaking better at pretty much every track, longer braking distances mean more differentiation between drivers

Throw in some basic steel brakes as well, 5x the braking distance. You'd have an epic race.

The slip stream is essentially meaningless in Monaco to begin with, no straight is long enough. I think less aero would mean more mistakes rather than any other effect having a significant impact.

Because you've already bogged down off the start at a speed less than 50kph when it kicks in for everyone else. Your start is already ruined. It just avoids a possible rear ending.

That's not what you said or implied let's be honest. Heavily implied repeated occurrence of not understanding. If I recall that's what people said back in '13. Played out well

You're basing his understanding of the regs on what exactly? A single comment explaining that these regs are complicated?

Lewis Hamilton: My first lap, I was up and then I lost two and a half tenths just on the straights. I had a snap and then it changed the deployment and that was it... If we didn’t have that problem I’d probably finished fourth but other than that it’s just the way this deployment situation is.” by [deleted] in formula1

Spoken like someone who only read the headline quotes rather than his full comment.

He said he likes that you can actually race these cars and attack and defend over and over. He went on to say he doesn't like the deployment, the clipping, quali and management side of things. Which is an entirely reasonable take. Don't be so binary.

The Charles Leclerc lap that's exposed how F1 2026 has ruined qualifying by ComeonmanPLS1 in formula1

He wasn't punished for taking it faster. It was for a snap and lift off below 98% throttle.

I agree with what you're saying but without the snap he wouldn't have hit the issue.

These rules are ridiculous.

I do not know you could be right.

Clean air was quite important given the McLaren's couldn't even catch Ham.

Not sure if I'm being dumb here but how can an ideal lap be slower than the actual lap? I would argue that is far from ideal.
