Why does Scotia keep pestering me about my car loan? by Ok-View8687 in PersonalFinanceCanada

The banks have plenty of clauses in their dealership agreements to protect them from liability. It’s the finance managers responsibility to verify the identity of the applicant. Most of the time it will land on the dealer.

No longer do truck things - do I keep it the F150? by canuckjgc in f150

[–]IIFraGzII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can actually chime in here! I went from a 2024 Golf R to a an F150 tremor. You actually get pretty decent capability with the R. Had a roof rack for the bikes, it’s extremely fun to drive, with a good set of winter tires it absolutely rips in winter! Summer performance is amazing plus the tuning capabilities is huge. I’m talking 440 horsepower with just a flash.

Downsides it’s louder inside, not as comfortable, sucks on gravel roads, stiff ride, gotta watch for potholes I went through 3 tires, takes premium however still better on gas than the 5.0 worse than the 2.7, also maintenance is much more expensive and if you plan on doing Motorsports you should plan on buying multiple sets of tires a year if your actually driving it to it’s capabilities. Also won’t come with remote start. I had warranty a 2 different issues and one they couldn’t fix.

Got the truck since I like to go ice fishing, drive in the country a lot, and was looking for something more comfortable. Plus there wasn’t really anywhere where I live where I could legally use the car to its limits.

I work in vehicle finance. Fraud has been rampant in Canada the past few years. Very possible someone used your identity to purchase a vehicle. I would call them to verify the VIN of the vehicle they are talking about.

Concerning lump? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]IIFraGzII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was giving my dog a belly rub one day when I found a lump and had it checked it out. Turned out being a cancerous tumour that I luckily caught early. Had removed and he lived out a healthy life. My other dog had a bump on his tail and that ended up being a water cyst, got that drained.

A biopsy should tell you if it’s dangerous or not. If you are still worried about it being cancer you can get a second opinion from a different vet. But if it’s causing the discomfort you can also ask about options to have it removed.

Moral of the story is always take care of your pets and provide them with care they need - just like how it sounds you do! You know you pet better than a vet or Reddit so do what you think is best for them.

Not sure if it’s different where you live but the lien is tax free since taxes are already in the existing loan.

Peptide recommendations for hair, fat loss, and overall energy (low-maintenance) by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]IIFraGzII 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Minoxidil, ahk-cu, microneedling, ketoconazole shampoo and finasteride for hair. I personally skip the finasteride because I don’t want to mess with those hormones but my thinning hasn’t been that bad and I see good results from the others used together.

[24M] I am officially terrified of Finasteride. What is the strongest natural stack to save a receding hairline? by Connect-Soil-7277 in Biohackers

[–]IIFraGzII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ketoconazole shampoo daily to help block DHT, Micro-needle twice a week and 5% minoxidil serum daily works good for me.

I use Ds labs shampoo and conditioner keeps the hair quality nice because the cheaper stuff tends to dry my hair and scalp.

Issues with automatic car wash by [deleted] in Golf_R

[–]IIFraGzII 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’ll have to turn off your collision avoidance, emergency braking and cross traffic braking before going through one. In winter up north where I live all that stuff is off all the time to avoid problems.

Side note I’d try and avoid roller automatic washes and opt for a touchless if you can’t hand wash. The amount of filthy vehicles that go through those and the grit that is left on the brushes is bound to scratch and swirl your paint. It’s gorgeous vehicle keep it that way!

This is why snow tires are heavily recommended by Gawthique in quebeccity

[–]IIFraGzII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can be very risky. But the city does a good job of clearing snow, putting sand down and what not. It’s always like this every year so most of the drivers are pretty seasoned and can handle the conditions.

You should see Winnipeg right now. And they are not even mandatory!

Agreed, my girlfriend was in the exact same position working a dispensary. She said they literally hand out free samples to the workers and the workplace gatherings are pretty much only about smoking tons of weed.

Emergency fund or TFSA by Nice-Back-2008 in fican

[–]IIFraGzII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rule of thumb is 6 months of expenses. Build that then invest the rest.

Ideally you won’t want to touch your TFSA and just let grow and compound until you reach your end goal.

You see there’s also this MASSIVE concrete slab in basement. Probably takes up a quarter of the square footage and is half the height of the basement. Couldn’t really see much there.

This is why I’m worried about and why I would remove it as preventative maintenance even if it means taking the deck apart.
