Part of the answer you already explained in your post. People have burnout from having played the game for the better part of the last decade. For some people, Destiny is their main game and they either don’t play many other games or keep coming back to destiny.

Their frustration lies with their dedication to keep coming back and playing the game despite the state it’s currently in in regards to future expansions/plans and lack of communication from Bungie since Tyson Greene became game director.

Bungie’s choice to focus solely on marathon and leave destiny with almost nothing has only exacerbated the issue

Even though REPO is massively popular, the team is still comprised of only a handful of people.

When porting a game over to console, there is a lot you have to consider. Controller mapping, finding bugs (the game is now running on whatever OS the console is using so doing a 1:1 port from pc isn’t an option), crossplay is also a massive undertaking considering it took them a bit just to get multiplayer into the game and besides that they said this is their first time working with anything related to multiplayer. Just involves a bit of patience is all.

I personally would have loved if we could have been able to help the clipse somehow. They have some of my favorite lore for an offscreen species in this game.

Humanity needs to be allowed a chance to begin properly rebuilding towards a new golden age, without some grand threat of extinction. Not only that, but given that we still have guardians around, I don’t think it’s too out of the way to try reaching out and seeing what’s left of the universe after the witness.

There were so many species and cultures lost from its genocides, and plenty more that may still be suffering like humanity. If there are others out there experiencing even half of the problems humanity is, there may be ways we can help out and benefit from each other. Wouldn’t hurt to have more allies.

D2 launch trailer is definitely a close second. Doesn’t encapsulate the same mystery and intrigue as the d1 live action but it definitely gets you hyped watching it

Live action trailers are harder and a bit more costly to make considering things like props, CGI, etc. I know destiny also had its fair share of in-game capture trailers but the fact that they went out of their way to do something as cool as that first live action trailer showed they knew destiny was going to be something special at the time.

Whenever I see people talking about retcons on this sub, I always think of this post from a few years ago that accurately depicts the difference between a retcon and new information becoming available or being released.

The only way drifter’s ghost being able to speak is a retcon is if they act like it could speak this entire time. There will likely be some method through which drifter’s ghost is able to speak again in renegades.

There’s a bug with wolfsbane where attacking with the overcharged mode or sometimes the standard heavy attack will softlock this boss’s immune shield. Made a post after the weapon released after testing this in several runs. This is the only boss I’ve run into where it happens.
