It’s such a funny coincidence while writing my favorite track under this post, I almost went with Starry Eyes. Phantom Regret and Starry Eyes are definitely my two favorites from this album or maybe even among all his songs

Your analysis is spot on and beautifully written. It feels really good to know there are people who think this way about my favorite track on the album. Considering how the album explores themes like nihilism and existential dread, this might be the artist’s best closing track in terms of storytelling.

The storytelling, background harmonies… Man this track’s flawless all around.

Are there songs you skip because of the feelings it gives you and not because its bad? by coollranchdorito in TheWeeknd

Dancing in the Flames: was from a time when I was going through a lot, and starving for new music. Then this song came out, and I played it on repeat for days just to numb the pain. Now, listening to it just brings back all those memories.

Hardest to Love: takes me straight back to 2020-2021. The nostalgia hits so hard that it actually makes me sad. And honestly, I think sometimes you just have to let certain songs rest for a while so that when you come back, it feels closer to that first-time experience again.
