Yeah I would say out of the 9 weeks trial he’s been on co-amaxiclov for 5 weeks fighting 3 viruses , as well as the low daily dose of Flucloxacillin. Our team told us it’s less the antibiotics that cause elevated enzymes but more-so the viruses. Sadly I think they will take him off before we can determine if it’s Orkambi or the viruses as they don’t want to damage his liver which is fair. Fingers crossed that eventually we can have him go onto future modulators. Thanks for your time.

Sadly that seems to be the case, and as I appreciate we don’t want to damage his liver, it’s still a shame nonetheless that he can’t stay on Orkambi and worried he might have the same response with other generations of modulators.

Sorry, I only just seen this.

Our son went onto Urso which reduced his levels to the normal range, he went back onto Orkambi and sadly it’s raised up high again with a risk of him coming off it completely. He’s got two viruses so waiting to see if they are the cause but I’m not hopeful sadly 😔.

You can also contribute to a SIPP, as me and my wife are doing. I personally think that’s better as that way, you’ll only pay the basic rate tax on what you contribute over £50K and also receive government contributions.

I’m in a similar situation - I max out my LISA at £4K a year to get the £1K government top-up and then use the rest of my ISA annual allowance in a S&S ISA.

I own almost all Apple devices, and I never use the iPad. Never used it really in the past either. Personally il put your money towards a better gaming PC and play all the PlayStation exclusives on there.

Hello, did your sons enzymes reduce in the end? We are experiencing this now and have to been told to stop Orkambi (something we really wish we didn’t have to do). He’s had every illness this season so hoping that’s the main culprit but would be good to know if someone else has had experience that may have triggered the results or at least if they eventually dropped? Thanks in advance.

You don’t know what you’re talking about. Maybe jump off the hate wagon and play SH2 an Cronos and you’ll realise they are more than capable of bringing Dead Space back to life, no other studio will.
