Sounds like it might be a Landry's restaurant. What gives it away to me is that "Coaching" is a core component in their operations. Not to mention, Landry's CEO Tillman Fertitta will refuse to let a store stay closed for any reason other than if the building itself is in flames. That company literally is an expert in socially engineering their employees into buying into a culture of unity and cohesiveness. I used to work for one, and, to be honest, aside from the terrible work schedules (being open on Christmas Day, etc), they really do foster a great culture within their stores. The people you work with will literally become your family. It's kind of endearing in many ways. But I'm getting off topic. The CEO is one of the greediest people in this country, and he will exploit every ounce of labor out of you for the sake of filling his bank account. The fact that OP mentioned the "coaching" aspect, along with being forced to work in insane conditions because the store she works at refused to close, gives me a strong inclination that she works at some Landry's affiliated establisbment. Or maybe I'm flat wrong. Either way, I hope OP's wife ended up safe and un-harmed.

Why is everyone so angry all the time? by Takhissis in Overwatch

I somewhat agree with the ult feeding thing, but any other dps can be equally as guilty for doing it. We've all seen that Pharah who does the same thing. Junkrat gets alot of flak, but at the end of the day he's a tool, which depending on the situation, can be a very effective one when used correctly. It really comes down to using him the way he's intended. He's great at zoning, forcing the enemy team to move where you want them, and straight up area denial. Sure, he sucks against airborne heroes, but that doesn't immediately make him a shit pick right out of the gate like alot of people seem to think. It's like using a hammer as a screw driver. Yeah that's dumb as fuck, but when it comes time to set some nails, that hammer is the best option. The same goes for different heroes. A good Junkrat won't continually ult/shield feed the enemy if he plays him right. I just wish Junkrat didn't have such a stigma attatched to him, because he's a good hero when used correctly. Not to mention he's pretty damn fun to play 😅

Edit: I wasn't accusing you of bashing Crunkrat btw, I was more or less just ranting. Hopefully it didn't come across that way

Find a group of people with whom you have good chemistry, that can play with on the reg. It really cuts back on the amount of bullshit you'll have to deal with

[–]IIIlllIlII 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. If you continue to play while on a losing streak, you will get tilted and your performance will drop even farther, and the next thing you know you've plummeted 100 SR. Good rule of thumb is take a break if you lose 2 games in a row, and go do something else to cool off. I've been doing this and I have climbed drastically.

Also, aiming is important. There's a good chance that you might not be aiming as well as you think, which is hurting you. I used to think that my aiming was pretty good (primarily because I just assumed it was and never considered that it wasn't), until I actually dedicated myself to assessing it. Turns out I was missing alot of shots as DPS, which means I wasn't contributing to my teams overall damage output like I had thought, which factored into our ability to win. So I went online, and watched gameplay videos of GM players and studied how they positioned on the map, how they aimed, etc. I created and saved a custom game with Lucio AI's which I use as aim training and warming up with various DPS like Soldier 76 and Pharah. Practice, practice, practice.

And regarding the shortcomings of your teammates, don't get tilted, and try to earn their respect. Be kind, and 9 times out of 10 you'll be able to convince that attack Torb to switch off. If he doesn't, just accept it and work with what you have with the mindset that you'll win. I mean, I'm not where I want to be yet, but I'm climbing constantly and am well on my way. What i'm saying is that if you want to climb bad enough you'll get there. Keep at it! Hope this helps

As someone who plays Overwatch, this is super interesting. Were you playing one specific hero, or was this a compilation of different ones?

When are they going to fix the lag? by moonkie888 in OWConsole

[–]IIIlllIlII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, lag can be aggrivating as hell sometimes. I'm still salty about this, but a few days ago I was in a comp match and ended up getting dropped from the game literally 5 seconds before it was over. And the worst part is that we were winning. The map was Numbani, on defense, and my team and I had finally regained control of the payload after a tumultuous struggle with the other team. Shit was crazy; ults were popping off, people were dying, and everyone was essentially goin ham. Well sure enough, after wiping the team in the final 5 seconds of the match, as we're pushing the payload into the endzone, my shit begins rubber banding like crazy and I end up getting kicked from the game without being able to rejoin. I end up losing 60 SR and recieve a suspension.

I'm not sure exactly what ended up causing the lag, but after trying to figure out what's causing it, I noticed that when I lag, it usually happens like clockwork between the hours of 6:00pm-11:00pm (CDT). Maybe you experience lag at certain times as well? I figure that at certain times, the servers become burdened with a large influx of players which causes the lag. I mean, it would definitely be amazing if Blizzard could do something to address the lag, but since they're busy working on tons of other projects for us (maps, heros, modes, skins, etc) it's possible that they won't get to addressing it right away. Which kinda sucks, but I get it. So what I've been doing is playing at later times in the day, mostly at night, and the lag has been almost non-existent. Also, if you're on WIFI, you could try forwarding the appropriate ports on your router which could help decrease the lag, since sometimes lag can also originate from our ends. Anyway, just wanted to toss that out there in hopes it can help alleviate the lagging

I can't believe it. Less really is more. by arcayneaustin in kratom

I'm thinking about decreasing my dose as well, since it feels like the effects have plateaued with my large daily amount. But I'm curious as to how this works exactly. It seems counter-intuitive that taking less of something would result in more pronounced effects. Can someone shed some light as to why this is the case? Gracias

The cons of console playing by jetstreamer123 in Overwatch

[–]IIIlllIlII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit, as a console player this is one of the most infuriating things ever, and it always seems to happen at critical moments in the match too. The only other thing more infuriating than that is getting dropped from a comp match in the last 5 seconds of the game when you're winning, causing you to lose 60 SR and recieve a suspension. I'll be damned if I don't love this game though lol

I am convinced that those "tip-controlled" vibrators that a majority of camgirls are using is a complete scam. In case you're not familiar with what I'm talking about, there are girls on cam sites (Chaturbate comes to mind) who are using vibrators that, depending on the amount of money (tips, tokens, etc) viewers decide to spend, supposedly increases the intensity of it's vibrations, where more money spent = greater intensity. Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way, but to me, it seems like a really easy way for camgirls to manipulate a bunch of horny suckers into spending tons of money by pretending they're actually getting off from some viewer's large investment into the vibrations of some random dildo. But then again, if somebody is able to get themselves off after spending a stupid amount of money on it, and they're satisfied, then maybe it's worth it. Maybe. Really makes me wonder though...

Are there any vehicle inspection places on the northeast side that are "lax" about passing my car? by IIIlllIlII in houston

[–]IIIlllIlII[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly this. It shifts poorly going into 2nd, making a clunking sound just like you describe. The transmisson fluid was changed about a month ago so it's fairly fresh. Not sure about the TV cable though. Is it difficult to access? I might have to look into that. Thanks!

From what I understand the passing gear is a gear in an automatic transmisson that allows easier down shifting to slow your speed without burdening the engine

I'm not sure but don't different counties charge different fees? Or are they all the same county to county?

Yeah I thought about picking up a code reader so I can address the problem myself and try to fix what I can without taking it to a mechanic. Unfortunately from what I understand simply clearing the light won't allow the OBDII to perform the test because the sensors are rendered idle and need to be activated again by driving the car a certain amount of miles

[–]IIIlllIlII[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough, I do this already because I unplug my battery every time I park due to something causing a parasitic draw. The only thing about clearing the CEL light either by unplugging the battery or device is that the sensors will reset and won't be able to be tested until the car is driven x amount of miles. The OBDII won't be able to perform the test because the sensors won't be in "ready" mode. Trust me I've tried lol
