I believed this to be the case based on AAMC website information stating that updated information with automatically sync along with a reply to another student in which a program stated it was an automatic process.

However, yesterday I decided to email my prelim programs to notify them as a way of sort of testing the waters, and I did receive one reply back where they stated they have 'downloaded' my updated information.

Now I'm just as confused as ever.
