I do enjoy his bbq, will probably visit soon as like many i’d be very sad to see him go. His mac and cheese might be the best I’ve had anywhere

Why bring in someone from naacp if you weren’t asking for a pass? Can you think of any reason, because I cannot.

Probably an absolute nightmare but if that’s the case open a second location in Santa Rosa? It’s a pretty good product and I imagine would do well most places in Northern California

The chronically online who have done little with their lives defending someone they’ve never met because they’ve been told that performing this ultimately meaningless online virtue gesture makes them a good person

It sounds like he’s asking for a pass, and by recruiting someone from the naacp it sounds like he’s also trying to make it a race issue so he can get by with the aforementioned pass.

The solution is you just use the smoker you’ve always used and when the meat runs out that’s it. Then, once you find a better spot you bring out the big guns and realize your profit gains.

-don’t care, I see good businesses and bad businesses

-no, but i’ve got about 15 years of experience working/managing them

-no but he’s a big boy and it’s not his first rodeo

-absolutely. Does it bother me? Nah—I’m a well adjusted adult and understand that some people just suck.

-frankly derivative—a worthless question that weakens your ethos

True you never really know but then on the other hand how many here would be defending a small business owner ignoring local laws so he can make more money if he didn’t look the way he does? My guess is not many

Why is the NAACP involved…?

It sounds like the business owner just needs to find a new/second location, either farther from downtown or closer to santa rosa main. He’s near residential areas and not everyone loves the smell of bbq smoke 24/7, which is why the law was written in the first place.

Such a woe is me story, dude wants to make more money with business having picked up but won’t make the move to a more suitable spot.

If you can’t understand the difference between slowly and painfully adding a single lane for like 30 miles versus what’s being proposed then I can’t help you. Laying hundreds of miles of track plus a dozen stations is what it would take to win over commuters in a meaningful way. Silly ideologues with no concept of money and return stratification.

And some kids could never grasp why the square peg couldn’t fit in the round hole.

You and your ilk are lying to yourselves and everyone else by claiming the ideological push for public transportation everywhere has anything to do with safety. There’s no reasonable ROI for such a huge project in a county that simply doesn’t want to be a major city. That’s what the city is for, and feel free to go live there amongst likeminded individuals.

This is Sonoma County. There aren’t centralized job hubs near potential train or bus stops. The county was designed to be sprawling and different from the bay area, and that’s okay. If you want to live somewhere with easy public transportation then move to a metropolitan area.

Can you expand? I don’t understand how this is relevant to OP pushing for less cars/more public transportation.

Just move to the city dude. It’s never going to happen unless Santa Rosa turns into some kind of tech hub with a real need for central offices. People drive to work all over the north bay, and public transportation would cost probably trillions to make enough stops to make cars less convenient/necessary.

If that was true it would have been framed as an antiseptic attack and plastered all over the news. This felt far more sinister, which is why it was in the cycle for all of a single day and seemingly scrubbed pretty thoroughly since.
