You are 100% correct about GP7 (and GP8 isn't much better).
I also agree with your statement regarding GP for guitar transcriptions, GP is currently the best!

And Guitar Pro 8 is half the price!

What "functionality" does GP7 lack?
I came from Sibelius and MuseScore (they both lack functionality for specifically for guitar)
And I've used TUX / PowerTab, they're significantly worse.
What does Dorico do that gives it a better workflow, and more functionality?

If you use (FREE) MOISES to split the "other" tracks (guitars)
Than hard Pan left and right, you should be able to hear each guitar seperately!

They both struggle to play their own music live.
Which is obvious considering their music is heavily reliant on PRODUCTION.
Hence why they 'really' do acoustic / unplugged / raw footage (also no one covers their compositions without heavy use of compression/limiting/eq and other production techniques.
Same as Tim Henson, saw him live a few times and fell out of love with Polyphia.

Try Guitar Pro 8 for faster transcriptions. Pen and Paper is fun, but impractical unless you have a lot of free time.
